Band Geeks is a musical comedy conceived by Tommy Newman, who draws experiences from his own high school marching band trials and tribulations. Band Geeks is the Kansas City PREMIERE, and the second play of the current season, directed by Guest Director, Greg Shaw; who took on the piece a few years prior with Pittsburgh High School, bringing it to the hailed Kansas Thespian Conference. The production runs April 19 - April 22, 2018 at The Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center; tickets are on sale now.

5-STAR THEATRICALS (formerly Cabrillo Music Theatre) continues its 2017-2018 season with the Thousand Oaks premiere of THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, book by Peter Parnell (based on the Victor Hugo Novel and songs from the Disney film), musical direction by Dan Redfeld, choreography by Michelle Elkin and directed by Misti B. Dr. Barbara Ann Teer's National Black Theatre [NBT] announces today the cast of the final workshop production for the 49th Season to conclude the I Am Soul Playwriting Residency for playwright Derek Lee McPhatter. McPhatter's workshop production will be Serious Adverse Effects which will be directed by Mary E. Hodges.

With infectious music that combines rock, Motown and Broadway, this hilarious musical has devoured the hearts of theatregoers for more than 30 years.
