Propelled by personal experience of loss, SAD is a musically driven experience, blending poetry with recordings of real people's stories to explore how grief affects the human condition, and how sound can be healing. Inspiration for the project came when artist Quiet Boy lost his mum, and the music he composed at the time to help process his grief.

Produced by Comeau alongside Nick Morzov (Animals as Leaders, The Night Game), the track highlights the duo’s unique blend of emo, alt-pop, and high-velocity hard rock. The song offers an introspective exploration of the emotional landscape encountered while navigating mental health challenges.

An enchanting journey through London’s wild edgelands, the LP is an ode care, connection and listening to the natural world. ‘Sample The Sky’ responds to nature's patterns through organic electronic productions, embodied lyrics, wind inspired saxophone, singing and synthesis all woven into intricately crafted left-field pop songs. 

Consisting of guitarist Isaac Horn, mandolinist Lincoln Mick, and fiddler Bailey Warren, the genre-bending trio wrote and recorded Welcome in their hometown of Nashville, TN, working with engineer Logan Matheny (Colony House, Hiss Golden Messenger) and mixer Shani Gandhi (Sarah Jarosz, Sierra Hull).

Opening Night of the 2023 season of the Stratford Festival is almost upon us, and for the first time in nine years, the Festival is staging a production of KING LEAR. A few weeks ago, BroadwayWorld had the opportunity to chat with the production’s director, Kimberley Rampersad about her vision for this production, what it means to be doing this show now, the complexity of the piece, the stellar company she is working with, and why Lear is a favourite of many a Shakespeare fan.

2SLGBTQ+ stories take centre stage at the Stratford Festival for Pride Month and throughout the 2023 season. Loraine James proudly announces her fourth album, Gentle Confrontation on Hyperdub. The new album features contributions from Marina Herlop, keiyaA, George Riley, and many others. To celebrate the announcement, Loraine shares the lead single “2003.”

ATOMIC COMIC - A Human Cartoon Fantasia, written by and starring Sara Toby Moore will be performed beginning Friday, June 30, 2023, with an opening night scheduled for Saturday, July 1. New York City's Five Boroughs Music Festival (5BMF), co-presents ChamberQUEER 2023: We Refract, a three-borough tour of the collective's acclaimed annual Pride Month celebration on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. at Littlefield in Brooklyn; Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. at Red Eye NY in Manhattan; and Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art at Snug Harbor on Staten Island.

It's a rare treat when an actual living legend of musical theatre like Jason Robert Brown comes to our neck of the woods to talk about his work, let alone perform some of these works live in an intimate cabaret setting. But thanks to Segerstrom Center of the Arts, the composer gave us a spectacular show with an amazing special guest, Mykal Kilgore.

Its reprise is at the very same space it was set to conclude its national tour in 2019 before sweeping lockdown measures shunted it.

Palehound’s new album Eye On The Bat, is a documentation of illusions shattering in the face of profound change. New casting has been announced for Hamilton in the West End, who will have their first performance at the Victoria Palace Theatre on 19 June 2023 where tickets are currently on sale to 2 March 2024.
