Guess Q's back! The naughtiest puppets in town will be coming to a venue near you as comedy musical Avenue Q returns next year to tour the UK with all of your favourite fuzzy friends, opening at Portsmouth Kings Theatre 25 January 2019.

AVENUE Q is the funniest, warmest, most talented musical production I have seen in a very long time. I urge you to run, not walk, to the box office to make sure you get tickets!

AVENUE Q welcomes new cast members, Matt Dengler, Lacretta, Jamie Glickman and Rob Morrison, along with the previously announced addition of Gizel Jimemez as the legendary show continues to perform Off Broadway at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) in NYC. AVENUE Q is now in its 16th year on stage in NYC.

On October 30, 2003, a little show called Wicked opened at the Gershwin Theatre... the rest is history. Let us be glad! Let us be grateful and rejoycify that it is still around a whopping 15 years later, making it the sixth longest-running show in Broadway history.

The Music Institute of Chicago's Faculty and Guest Artist Series continues Sunday, October 28 with a 3 p.m. "Spooktacular" Concert and 4 p.m. Haunted Musical Open House at Nichols Concert Hall, 1490 Chicago Avenue, Evanston. The Hilberry Theatre is kicking off their 56th anniversary with the hilarious musical, Avenue Q, opening this Friday, September 21st in Detroit. Never before have audiences responded with such startling enthusiasm and thunderous applause to a Nashville Repertory Theatre opening night - at least in my memory and I've been reviewing shows at the Rep for 30 years now - than what I witnessed last night as Avenue Q kicked off the company's 2018-19 season in astonishingly irreverent style. Theater historians would have a hard time finding a production in which Nashville Rep audiences had a better time celebrating diversity and internet porn while watching two puppets have unbridled and unrestrained sex even if they lack some of the parts necessary to consummate the act.

AVENUE Q became an overnight sensation on Broadway in July 2003 following a sold-out engagement and was extended four times after being presented Off-Broadway by Vineyard Theatre and The New Group. Since it roared into the spotlight - with its singular cast of people and puppets including Princeton, Kate Monster, Rod, Nicky, Trekkie, Christmas Eve, Gary Coleman and Lucy T.
