Lettice, employed as a stately home tourist guide, has inherited theatricality and eccentricity from her mother. Caught using 'alternative facts' to embroider the history of the house by Lotte, her supervisor, she is dismissed. During the dismissal interview they uncover common ground with the result that she and Lotte develop an unlikely friendship. This is the first major revival of Lettice and Lovage since the 1987 West End production.

Tony, Emmy, and two-time Golden Globe nominee Matthew Morrison will headline Westport Country Playhouse's 2017 fundraising gala on Saturday evening, September 9. New this year will be the Gala's move to Saturday evening instead of Monday night as in past seasons. The Gala's theme, 'Moonlight Over Venice,' is a nod to the Playhouse's autumn production of 'Romeo and Juliet'.

Novato Theater Company opens 2017 with Sir Peter Shaffer's award-winning comedy, Lettice and Lovage. The author of Equus and Amadeus plunges into droll comedy about two women who could not be more opposite. The play is directed by Renee Mandel-Sher and produced by Mark Clark. It runs February 3-19 at the NTC Playhouse, 5420 Nave Drive in Novato.
Goodman Theatre Artistic Director Robert Falls announced today that his longtime creative collaborator, Artistic Associate and Producer Steve Scott, will direct the theater's production of Eugene O'Neill's Ah, Wilderness! this spring. Scott assumes this responsibility from Falls, who was originally announced as the production's director.
