Phoenix Theatre
(Tottenham Court Road) Charing Cross Road London

Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace, a dance duo who are World Argentine tango champions and TV favorites for their appearances on Strictly Come Dancing, will bring their latest stage show, The Last Tango, to the West End, beginning performances September 22 prior to an official opening September 28 at the Phoenix Theatre, for a run that is booking through December 3.

The duo have danced together for 20 years and have previously starred in the West End in Midnight Tango and Dance 'Til Dawn. Now, after a 33-week tour, they bring their latest and also final show to London, as they prepare to embark on separate solo projects.

In a press statement, Cacace states, "We have had such a fantastic time on tour with The Last Tango and we feel incredibly lucky to have performed live in front of amazing audiences night after night. The Last Tango is an intimate, emotional show; full of the most beautiful dance moves and, of course, our award-winning Argentine tango. We're looking forward to celebrating our very best work in the West End."

Simone adds, "The last few years creating and performing Midnight Tango, Dance ‘Til Dawn and The Last Tango have been intense! It may be our final theatre show but we’re going out with a bang! I’m so happy audiences in London get to see our best show yet."

The show follows a character named George as he delves into an attic full of memories. As he reminisces, poignant moments are brought to life through choreography that embraces rumba, jive, flamenco, salsa and, of course, the Argentinean tango performed by a full live band.

Directed and choreographed by Karen Bruce, with co-choreography by Cacace and Simone, the show is designed by Morgan Large, with costumes by Vicky Gill, lighting by James Whiteside, sound by Richard Brooker and orchestrations and supervision by Chris Egan and Matt Smith. Casting is by Anne Vosser. It is produced by Adam Spiegel Productions.

Don't let this first photo confuse you. This Company is so many things, and the picture represents but one facet of their dance works ~ I just had to use it for the beauty and uniqueness of it. The evening commenced with a sextet of pieces that were entitled The Heritage of the Great Steppe, following the history and traditions of the Kazakhstan people. Beautifully executed and visually stunning, each one was unique.
