Transport Group has announced that additional casting for Promises, Promises-its second musical in this season's Anne L. Bernstein Concert Series-will include Stanley Bahorek (Amazing Grace, Queen of the Mist), Lauren Blackman (Anastasia), Hannah Corneau (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Marc Kudisch (Finding Neverland, Hand to God), Sean Mclaughlin (Hello Dolly), Bruce Sabath (Cagney), Tally Sessions (War Paint), and Ali Stroker (Spring Awakening).

What could leave Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati's artistic director of 22 years, D. Lynn Meyers, beaming in the lobby as if she had produced her very first show? Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA; Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director) announces a public reading of Obie and Drama Desk Award-winning playwright Will Eno's Gnit, directed by Oliver Butler (The Open House, 2014), and starring acclaimed stage and screen actor Michael C. Hall (stage: Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway, David Bowie's Lazarus at NYTW; screen: Six Feet Under, Dexter). The reading will take place June 18 at 7pm at Polonsky Shakespeare Center (262 Ashland Place, Brooklyn, NY).

On Your Feet is precisely where you will find yourself at the end of this spectacular show! The familiar music is peppy and moving, and the crowd enjoyed the infectious dance groove laid down by the band which included 5 original members of The Miami Sound Machine.

Azuka Theatre ends the 2017-2018 season with the world premiere of Mrs. Harrison, by R. Eric Thomas, from May 2 to20, 2018. Mrs.Harrison is the third and final show of the season that celebrated Azuka's commitment to notable Philadelphia playwrights and unique Philadelphia voices. Producing Artistic Director Kevin Glaccum directs this suspenseful dark comedy and drama about two women, one story and their very different memories about their relationship in college. The show runs through May 20, 2018, for a total of 18 performances.  All performances will take place at the Louis Bluver Theatre at The Drake, 302 S. Hicks Street. Tickets for shows this season are Pay What You Decide, whereas audience members see a show first, and pay what they decide after the performance. For reservations, visit azukatheatre.org. The 2018 Tony nominees are already winners... literally. For some, this marks their first nomination, but others have already won Tony Awards in seasons past. We took a look at which nominees have won at least a Tony or two (or nine) - amongst them, they've gathered a total of 88 awards!

To celebrate the opening of The Color Purple at the SHN Orpheum Theatre, Humphry Slocombe and SHN have collaborated on a limited edition ice cream flavor inspired by the 2016 Tony Award winner for Best Musical Revival.

Metropolitan Entertainment and New Jersey Performing Arts Center present actors and musicians Lea Michele and Darren Criss in concert this June. The duo will hit the stage together and solo, performing songs from Broadway, Glee and original songs from their recent solo albums. The co-headlining limited run tour was announced this afternoon during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and kicks off May 30, 2018 in Nashville.  The LM/DC tour makes only one New York City stop in Newark, NJ at NJPAC on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 8pm.

The Play Company (PlayCo), led by Founding Producer Kate Loewald and Managing Director Robert G. Bradshaw, today announces the complete cast for Toshiki Okada's Time's Journey Through a Room, marking PlayCo's third collaboration with Okada, translator Aya Ogawa, and director Dan Rothenberg, May 10 - June 10, 2018. This haunting play, set in post-Fukushima Japan, will star three Japanese born performers, all of whom are now based in New York: Yuki Kawahisa (Honoka), Maho Honda (Arisa) and Kensaku Shinohara (Kazuki). The play is both an intimate examination of how we move forward from life-altering events, and a study of how we experience time, asking whether we can ever be alive to the present moment.

The Living Libretto: Opera in Eden gives audiences a first glimpse at three new one-act operas being written by first year resident artists in American Lyric Theater's Composer Librettist Development Program (CLDP)

The film is directed by Tony winner Michael Mayer and adapted for the screen by Tony winner Stephen Karam. The Seagull is fresh and modern and as relevant now as when it was first produced in 1903 Russia. It is the story of eight people, all of whom are fatally in love with the wrong person.
