Michael Weber, artistic director of Porchlight Music Theatre, has announced the casts of the Chicago premiere of the 2014 revision of Side Show, the return of Porchlight's hit Ain't Misbehavin', multi-Jeff Award-winner Summer Naomi Smart starring in the Chicago premiere of Far From Heaven, and Porchlight Music Theatre's 2015 - 2016 artistic leadership for its four Mainstage productions.
Further casting for the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company's Plays at the Garrick season has been announced. John Dagleish and Zoe Wanamaker are to appear in Harlequinade, with John also joining the company of The Winter's Tale. The two productions will play in repertory at the Garrick theatre from 17 October 2015 until 16 January 2016.

The Public Theater announced today that the world premiere of a new Richard Nelson three-play cycle, THE GABRIELS: Election Year in the Life of One Family, has been added to the 2015-2016 downtown season. Written and directed by Nelson, Play One: HUNGRY will begin previews on Saturday, February 27 and run through, Sunday, March 20, with an official press opening on Friday, March 4, 2016. As with The Apple Family Plays, each play in THE GABRIELS cycle will feature a core acting company and will open on the day it is set and unfold in real time over a couple of hours. The second play in the cycle will open in September 2016 and the final play will open on Election Night November 8, 2016.

Tickets for the West End production of Motown the Musical, opening at the Shaftesbury Theatre in February 2016, are released for sale today (15 May 2015). With music and lyrics from the legendary Motown catalogue and book by Motown founder Berry Gordy, Motown the Musical is directed by Charles Randolph-Wright. London previews will begin on 11 February 2016 with press night on 8 March 2016 with the show booking to 22 October 2016. With a $38 million project under construction, a world premiere adaptation, a visit from England and the continuation of the Complete the Canon and History Cycle initiatives, the Utah Shakespeare Festival showed no signs of slowing down in 2014, its 53rd season. Producing 235 performances in rotating repertory in three theatres for 17 weeks is no easy feat, but through countless hours, a dedicated group of artists has pulled off another artistically successful year.
