A beloved holiday tradition will return to People’s Light with the world premiere of Alice in Wonderland: A Musical Panto. Alice in Wonderland: A Musical Panto runs November 16 through January 1 on the Leonard C. Haas Stage.

Lyric Hammersmith Theatre has announced the return of Gary Owen’s critically acclaimed Iphigenia in Splott, originally commissioned and produced by Sherman Theatre and later performed at the National Theatre, directed by the Lyric’s Artistic Director Rachel O’Riordan, with Sophie Melville reprising her role as Effie.

The 2022 Tony nominees are already winners... literally. For some, this marks their first nomination, but others have already won Tony Awards in seasons past. We took a look at which nominees have won at least a Tony or two (or six!) - amongst them, they've gathered a total 61 awards!

Adams’ Apples is a John Strasberg talent trifecta. He wrote, directed and starred in this contemporary homage to Anton Chekov’s The Cherry Orchard. In our recent interview, Strasberg explains that like Chekov’s dramatis personae of 100 years ago, the modern day characters we meet in his film “never did anything about doing what they dreamed of doing”.

On June 30th, The REV Theatre Company reopens its historic flagship venue, the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, with the song and dance spectacular, 42nd Street. The show marks the company's return to live performances and runs through July 28 at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Emerson Park. Arlekin Players Theatre, co-producer Sara Stackhouse of BroadBand Collaborative, and presenting partner Cherry Orchard Festival in NY, will present an evening dedicated to Armenia, featuring Hayk Demoyan, Director of the Aurora Prize and former director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.

Oh what a celebration we'll have today because it's the sixteenth anniversary of Wicked, which opened at Broadway's Gershwin Theatre on October 30, 2003. We're helping our fellow Ozians rejoicify by looking back at what the show's original cast has been up to since leaving the smash hit, including Idina Menzel, Kristin Chenoweth, Norbert Leo Butz, and more. Presented by The Cherry Orchard Festival Foundation(www.CherryOrchardFestival.org), Masquerade will play 4 performances at New York City Center (131 West 55th Street): June 13 at 7:30pm, June 14 at 7:30pm, June 15 at 7:30pm and June 16 at 2pm. Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein today announced the appointment of Travis LeMont Ballenger as Associate Artistic Director. The Globe will have two people in this key position, as Ballenger joins Associate Artistic Director Justin Waldman, who has been at the Globe since 2011. Ballenger and Waldman will report jointly to Edelstein. Ballenger will assume his artistic duties at The Old Globe on May 1.

Shakespeare's Globe announced the full cast for William Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor, directed by Elle While, and Ben Jonson's Bartholomew Fair, directed by Blanche McIntyre.

The installation was designed by Tony Award winner David Rockwell and the ceremony will take place prior to the evening's performance of Conor McPherson's new version of August Strindberg's The Dance of Death, helmed by Tony Award winner Victoria Clark (part of CSC's Strindberg repertory engagement with director Shariffa Ali's production of Yael Farber's Mies Julie, running through March 10 at 136 East 13th Street). Lynn F. Angelson, John Doyle, and special guest John Turturro (The Cherry Orchard, CSC 2011) will be on hand for the celebration.

Wayward Productions, led by Judith Dimant, today announce that their inaugural production of Enda Walsh's adaptation of Max Porter's award-winning novel Grief is the Thing with Feathers. Walsh also directs, reuniting him with Cillian Murphy, following the huge success of their past collaborations: Disco Pigs, Ballyturk and Misterman.

Up until just a few years ago, Michael Urie may have been best known as Marc St. Jame from the television series Ugly Betty. Now, however, Broadway fans have come to know him as a household name in the theatre community. Today, we're taking a look back on Urie's stage career, ahead of his return to Broadway this season in Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song.

Happy 100th birthday, American Airlines Theatre! Roundabout's flagship home on Broadway, the American Airlines Theatre first opened its doors as the Selwyn Theatre in 1918.
