Westport Country Playhouse's next Script in Hand playreading will be the romantic comedy, 'Beau Jest' by James Sherman, a former actor/writer for Chicago's Second City, on one-night-only, Monday, March 18, 7 p.m. Director is Anne Keefe, Playhouse artistic advisor. Casting will be announced soon.

To celebrate the centennial year of the Authors League, The Dramatists Guild of America unveils archived audio unheard by the public since its initial recording. Over the next year, In the Room will host some of the most celebrated playwrights, composers and lyricists in the American theatre discussing craft while sharing their influences and experiences creating some of their most celebrated work. Currently featured is a session with Tina Howe and Sarah Ruhl, originally recorded in 2007.

This fall, Reynolda House Museum of American Art will be the final host to 'Modern Masters from the Smithsonian American Art Museum,' an exhibition that examines the complex nature of American art in the mid-twentieth century. The exhibition will open Oct. 7 and continue through Dec. 31, 2011.
