Stages Repertory Theatre presents the Houston premiere of Ann, the critically acclaimed one-woman production about iconic, larger-than-life Texas Governor Ann Richards featuring the incomparable Sally Edmundson, a longtime Stages favorite known for her starring roles in productions including Auntie Mame, Full Gallop, Driving Miss Daisy and Steel Magnolias. Written by and originally starring Emmy Award-winning actress Holland Taylor, Ann premiered at The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston in 2010 under the title Money, Marbles and Chalk: An Affectionate Portrait of Ann Richards, and premiered on Broadway in 2013.

Lyric Unlimited has announced casting for the Chicago premiere of Fellow Travelers. Tenor Jonas Hacker and baritone Joseph Lattanzi will sing the lead roles of Timothy Laughlin and Hawkins Fuller, two men who fall in love during the height of the McCarthy era in 1950s Washington D.C. Devon Guthrie will sing the role of Mary Johnson, Hawkins's assistant and Timothy's confidante.

Cleveland Play House (CPH) will honor a new class of individuals who have contributed to its vibrant history with a Hall of Fame induction ceremony and luncheon on Sunday, October 9th from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Cibreo Privato located at 1501 E. 14th Street.  The 2016 inductees will include Jonathan Bolt, a former resident company actor at CPH who also directed the world premiere of Arthur Miller's The Archbishop's Ceiling; Dean R. PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra presents “Neighborhood Week,” an entire week of classical orchestral and chamber music in some of Pittsburgh's most beloved locales. Today we are analyzing all aspects of the hotly anticipated concert event that occured at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall on Monday featuring an all-star cast performing Jason Robert Brown and Alfred Uhry's Tony Award-winning score and book - the Manhattan Concert Productions presentation of PARADE. Outlining his involvement in the unique theatrical event is acclaimed and versatile Tony Award-winning set designer Beowulf Boritt, who opens up about the exciting and idiosyncratic nature of a one night only event such as this as well as the opportunities available in designing for such a spectacular evening in order to bring his artistic vision to fruition. In addition to a thorough discussion of the themes and actual real history elemental to the musical itself and how Boritt has integrated those features into the visual landscape of the piece, he also sheds some light on the intensive design process and intimate collaboration with director Gary Griffin, composer/lyricist/conductor Brown, projection designer Jeff Croiter and lighting designer Jon Weston. Also, Boritt offers a first look at his inspiration for the design elements being created especially for the evening and how he is utilizing vintage photographs and actual historical pieces to maximize authenticity and accuracy in portraying the musical based on a true story occurring in 1915. All of that and much, much more in this expansive design-focused special feature with one of Broadway's brightest behind the scenes visionaries.
