Rodgers & Hammerstein Acquires Rights To [title of show]

With [title of show] completing the journey from Off-Broadway to Broadway this week, The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization is proud to announce that it has acquired the stock and amateur rights to this hit musical written by Jeff Bowen (music and lyrics), and Hunter Bell (book). In addition to licensing the musical through R&H Theatricals, the Organization will represent Bowen's score through its music publishing division, Williamson Music.

The new Broadway Cast Recording of Gypsy boasts the talents of Tony® and Olivier® Award-winning star Patti LuPone, four-time Tony® Award-winner Boyd Gaines and Tony® Award-winner Laura Benanti. All three won 2008 Tony® Award for their performances in the celebrated revival.

The 11th Annual Broadway Bears auction line-up, presented by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS on February 17 at 7PM, is here! Each year, 'Broadway Bears: A Costumed Teddy Bear Auction' is a much-anticipated BC/EFA event. These specially-designed bears (often using actual material from their respective Broadway productions, and autographed by the stars) raised $130,000 last year. BC/EFA hopes to reach even higher this winter!

Typically, Broadway shows play eight shows a week with a maximum of two shows a day, usually on Wednesdays and Saturdays. And then there's Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas in its 15-performance-per-week limited holiday engagement. It's hard over in Whoville! No one leaves the theater from morning arrival until after the final curtain has come down.
