NEXT FALL Will Arrive on Broadway with Critically Acclaimed Original Cast Intact

Barbara Manocherian, Richard Willis and Anthony Barrile in association with Naked Angels (Geoffrey Nauffts, Artistic Director; John Alexander, Managing Director; Andy Donald, Associate Artistic Director; Brittany O'Neill, Producer) are pleased to announce that the critically acclaimed original cast will return for the Broadway run of NEXT FALL, the new American play by Geoffrey Nauffts and directed by Sheryl Kaller. The production will open on Broadway on Thursday, March 11, 2010 with preview performances beginning Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44th Street).

The Broadway musical Next to Normal has announced the voting results of the first part of its groundbreaking Twitter song project. Based on suggestions from Twitter followers, Next to Normal creators Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey will write a song for the show's characters Dr. Madden & Gab.

The Broadway musical Next to Normal's groundbreaking Twitter Performance has amassed over 560,000 followers since launching on May 5, surpassing such national brands as Starbucks and MTV and popular celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Jordin Sparks. The Twitter Performance will culminate with a new song written by the Tony Award-winning songwriters of Next to Normal, Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, based on suggestions from the followers - everything from which characters are performing the song and where it takes place in the story, to song structure and lyric suggestions. Suggestions are currently being submitted via Twitter @N2NBroadway.

The album was also ranked #21 of all albums on the Digital Chart and #103 of all albums in the Top 200 Chart. His personal musical journey has taken him from the blues rock of his native Texas, through the compositions of Ellington, Mingus, Monk and Zappa, to a fateful evening in an orchestra pit playing for a Rodgers and Hart classic. It will all be there on stage presented with the help of some of New York's best young talent. The evening is a benefit in support of one of America's historic working theaters, the Proctor's Theater in Schenectady, NY .
