The Fire This Time Festival, the destination for early career and emerging playwrights from the African diaspora, announces its 2020 dates. Gloucester Stage Company continues its 40th Anniversary Season of professional theater with Patrick Barlow's witty mystery play The 39 Steps from July 5 through July 28 at Gloucester Stage Company, 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. This award winning comic thriller adapted for the stage by Patrick Barlow, from the 1915 novel by John Buchan and from the 1935 movie by Alfred Hitchcock, premiered on Broadway in 2008. The 39 Steps has played in over forty countries world-wide, winning Olivier (United Kingdom); Helpmann (Austraila); Moliere (France) and Tony Awards. After roles in Channel 4's Pure, ITV's Unforgotten and a lead alongside Sharon Small and Hugo Speer in Acorn TV's new cop drama (coming to the BBC this summer) London Kills - actor/writer/singer-songwriter Tori Allen-Martin returns to the stage with her new play WHO I COULD'VE BEEN, an exploration of love and loss and all the versions of ourselves we met and became along the way. Tori, who was named as one of the BBC'S New Talent Hotlist in 2017 is excited to be premiering this brand new play at The Space, for one week only June 4th-8th.
