ACT - A Contemporary Theatre has announced its Fall and Winter calendar, including its biggest party of the year: Wanderlust - ACT's Night of Adventure and Annual Gala just in time to kick off the autumnal season. The rest of the calendar rounds out the year with a plethora of exciting new theatrical events including Central Heating Lab projects, the season's finale production of Ramayana, and ACT's holiday tradition of A Christmas Carol.

The Playwrights' Foundation announces the 2012 Fall Rough Readings Series October 1- November 13, 2012 at Stanford University and in San Francisco. The fall readings series features: Mike Lew's Bike America October 1 & 2; Dominic Orlando's Reparations October 22 & 23; and Dominique Morisseau Sunset Baby November 12 & 13. The 2012 Rough Readings Series (10/1-12/13, 2012) are presented on Mondays in CERAS Hall and Roble Hall at Stanford University and Tuesdays at The Thick House and A.C.T.'s Costume Shop in San Francisco.

The Civic Center of Greater Des Moines is scheduled to bring some of Broadway's most acclaimed and loved shows to Iowan audiences during their 2012-2013 season. Shows included in the standard season package include the national tours of LES MISERABLES, WAR HORSE, THE BOOK OF MORMON, JEKYLL & HYDE, and MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET. Also featured during the season are BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, ROCK OF AGES, and JERSEY BOYS.

Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts announces today regional arts and cultural organizations participating in Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts 2013 (PIFA) returning to Philadelphia March 28 to April 27. Produced by the Kimmel Center, PIFA 2013 combines the creative talents of both large and small Philadelphia arts and culture organizations to create innovative and new works. The biennial city-wide festival's 2013 curatorial theme is If You Had a Time Machine…with 50+ events presented in Philadelphia.

NBC has just announced that they have picked up the fourth and fifth cycles of the hit music competition series 'The Voice' for Spring and Fall 2013.

Elektra recording artist Ed Sheeran has announced plans for his biggest U.S. headline tour to date. The 2013 trek gets underway January 17th at Houston's House of Blues and then continues through mid-February (see itinerary below). Among the tour's highlights are shows at some of America's most renowned venues, including Sheeran's debut performance on the Great Stage of New York's world famous Radio City Music Hall, set for January 30th.

ACT - A Contemporary Theatre under the direction of Artistic Director Kurt Beattie officially announces the 2013 mainstage season. One of the most distinguished artists in the world, Sir Alan Ayckbourn, will stage his play, Sugar Daddies in the fall of 2013. Leading up to that is the musical Grey Gardens with The 5th Avenue Theatre, then the premiere of local playwright Katie Forgette's disturbingly funny take on senior care, Assisted Living, followed by two of the hottest shows from New York's stages last year, Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities and Gina Gionfriddo's Rapture, Blister, Burn, and then Middletown - Will Eno's modern response to Thornton Wilder's Our Town.

Producers of THE ADDAMS FAMILY announced additional dates today for the Fall 2012 leg of the musical's North American tour. The production will play Dallas (Oct. 2 - 21), Seattle (Oct. 24 - Nov. 11), Salt Lake City (Nov. 13 - 18), Las Vegas (Nov.20 - 25), Tempe (Dec. 11 - 16) and Costa Mesa (Dec. 18 - 30). Plus, Curtis Holbrook (West Side Story, Xanadu) will join the cast of the national tour as "Lucas Beineke."

Sierra Repertory Theatre will open its 2013 season with the biographical musical BUDDY: The Buddy Holly Story. With nine shows in all, the recently announced 2013 season will also include a summer performance of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!, a fall performance of the comedic play Harvey, and a special Christmas run of It's a Wonderful Life: The Radio Play, which will close the season. Season tickets are now on sale, and general admission tickets go on sale to the public October 1.

The producers of FLASHDANCE - THE MUSICAL, the stage adaptation of the 1983 smash hit movie that defined a generation, have just announced that the production will arrive on Broadway in August 2013 with a theater, dates and casting to be announced.

The Chicago Commercial Collective has announced its first production, the remount of the Chicago and Broadway hit drama, A Steady Rain, will tour Wisconsin and Michigan this fall. Currently, A Steady Rain completes its successful nine-week run at the Chicago Dramatists Sunday, Sept. 2.

Actor and playwright Chazz Palminteri's HUMAN is headed for Broadway - and has reportedly already set a handful of stars and a fall opening night.

Out of theBox Theatre Company has announced its 012--013 season in residence at Center Stage Theater with three Santa Barbara County premieres -- the intimate two-person musical JOHN & JEN, running October 4-14, 2012; the outrageous emo rock musical BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON, running February 14-24, 2013; and the powerhouse Pulitzer Prize-winning rock musical NEXT TO NORMAL, running May 2-12, 2013.

Deadline.com has confirmed that Arsenio Hall will host a late-night talk show to premiere in the Fall of 2013. According to the report, CBS TV distribution has already sold the syndicated show to 85% of the country.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announces casting for the 2012 Fall Season. The Tony Award® and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, Sunday in the Park with George by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine will be staged by CST Associate Artistic Director Gary Griffin, September 26-November 4, 2012 in CST's Courtyard Theater. The season continues with The School for Lies by David Ives, adapted from Moliere's The Misanthrope and staged by CST Artistic Director Barbara Gaines, December 4, 2012-January 20, 2013 in CST's Courtyard Theater.

Award-winning actors Roger Bart, Anna Chlumsky and Raul Esparza will guest star on an upcoming episode of "Law & Order: SVU." The episode, titled "Twenty-Five Acts" will air next fall and centers on the author of a best-selling erotic novel (Chlumsky) who accuses a high-profile talk show host (Bart) of a brutal rape. The SVU detectives face an uphill battle when they find that her account of the rape is exactly like the chapters in her book, and along with the DA's office (Esparza), they struggle to keep the case from turning into a media circus.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today new series and returning favorites coming to the network this fall along with three new series for 2013, including 'Life with La Toya' a candid look inside the life of the outspoken Jackson sibling, 'The Customer is Always Right' a high-stakes experiment with customers as the boss, and 'Neighborvention' where communities unite to help neighbors in crisis.

Founded in 1979 by its artistic director Jeffrey Horowitz, Theatre for a New Audience is a modern classical theatre that produces Shakespeare alongside other major authors in a dialogue that spans centuries. Its 33rd season, the last before moving to its first home adjacent to BAM in the new Downtown Brooklyn Cultural District, features boldly diverse works from William Shakespeare, Franz Kafka in a theatrical adaptation by Colin Teevan, Samuel Beckett and Wallace Shawn. In a co-production with The Public Theater, Mr. Shawn's plays will be part of The Wallace Shaw-Andre Gregory Project.

Today REDCAT, CalArts' downtown center for contemporary arts and culture, announces its Fall 2012 events and previews major projects scheduled for early 2013. Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA), the company's professional training school, has announced its Fall 2012 schedule of classes now open for enrollment. ESPA will offer new classes including Comedy Writing, Advanced Libretto and Lyric Writing and Dialects 2: Russian. ESPA will also be offering two new workshops: Writing for TV: Making the Transition from Stage to Screen and The Pilot. Seattle Women's Chorus (SWC) kicks off its 2012-2013 Season with their Fall concert, How Sweet the Sound (October 12-20, 2012) in a spectacular new venue, Saint Mark's Cathedral on Capitol Hill. ACT - A Contemporary Theatre is pleased to announce the American premiere of lauded playwright Alan Ayckbourn's Sugar Daddies, directed by Ayckbourn himself, as one of the six mainstage selections in the 2013 Season. ACT Artistic Director Kurt Beattie invited Ayckbourn to direct during a meeting in 2011 in England. The opportunity to collaborate in person is the result of ACT's commitment to and success with Ayckbourn's work, which has engendered a lasting artistic relationship. Sugar Daddies is slated to be produced in September and October, 2013. The play will be staged in ACT's Allen Theatre, as productions in-the-round are Ayckbourn's specialty.
