On New Year's Eve (31 December), the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) will stage a "Pyromusical", harmonising fireworks, pyrotechnics, lighting effects and music over the iconic Victoria Harbour and the city's breathtaking skyline to bring in 2017. This year, the show will be extended from 8 to 10 minutes, with new firework patterns of stars and butterflies on display, creating a symbol of hope and joy.

Craft Lake City and Argentina's Best Empanadas present the January 2017 Empanadas Workshop with Ana Valdemoros. Argentina's Best Empanadas, a local purveyor of traditionally and fresh made empanadas, has served the Salt Lake Valley for over 10 years. Unapologetic, brutal and unflinching, 2016 Toronto Fringe audience hit, Silk Bath, returns to the stage at the 2017 Next Stage Theatre Festival. Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) announces the Spring 2017 performance and residency series, which runs January 7 through June 17. Tickets for BAC Presents performances in theater, music, and dance can be purchased now at bacnyc.org and 866 811 4111. Ephraim Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival will present movies from around the world, opening with ON THE MAP, the true story of Israel's 1977 basketball team, the first to ever bring the coveted European Cup to Israel. Film director Dani Menkin and basketball legend Tal Brody will attend and participate in a post-film discussion at the January 19 screening at the Kravis Center's Cohen Pavilion.

The "most famous reindeer of all" from the longest-running and highest-rated holiday television special will be live on stage in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical at The Coterie Theatre in Crown Center. Directed by Jeff Church, The Coterie's critically-acclaimed production features Rudolph and the entire holly jolly cast of iconic characters, including Sam the Snowman, Hermey the Elf, Yukon Cornelius, and the Abominable Snow Monster, helping Santa save Christmas this holiday season, November 8 - December 31, 2016.
