Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, announced today two productions for their 2018 season.

Children's Musical Theater San Jose (CMT San Jose), a nationally acclaimed theater company honored 10 times by the NEA and the oldest operating performing arts organization in San Jose, has marked the announcement of the 50th Anniversary season of shows with the help of alumni and the launch of a new website, cmtjh.org.

Building on the critical success of his 2011 production of Harold Pinter's Old Times, STC Artistic Director Michael Kahn will return to the British playwright's gripping realm of doubt and disquiet to direct a double bill of short plays. The Lover and The Collection will run from September 26-October 29 at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW).

Centenary Stage Company announces cast for upcoming production of Freyda Thomas' hilarious contemporary re-imagining of Moliere's penultimate play The Learned Ladies. Presented in the Lackland Performing Arts Center the production will run from October 6 through October 22 in the over 500 seat state of the art Sitnik Theatre.

The Playwrights Realm has announced that Sebastian Chacon will join the cast for the final performances in the Realm's World Premiere production of Michael Yates Crowley's acclaimed The Rape of the Sabine Women by Grace B. Matthias.

Hampstead Theatre presents the world premiere of Nicholas Wright's The Slaves of Solitude directed by Jonathan Kent.

Local favorite Isaac Lamb will take the stage for Every Brilliant Thing, a play that tackles the impact of depression using a life-affirming list and a partly-improvised structure that engages audiences in a way never before seen at The Armory. Created by British playwright Duncan Macmillan with comedian Jonny Donahoe, Every Brilliant Thing began as a short-play-turned-art-installation before becoming a full-length theater piece that was embraced at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Off-Broadway, and adapted into an HBO movie. Associate Artistic Director Rose Riordan will direct Every Brilliant Thing in the round in the Ellyn Bye Studio the first studio show in Portland Center Stage at The Armory's 30th anniversary season. Every Brilliant Thing begins preview performances on September 23, opens on September 29 and runs through November 5.

Sonia Friedman Productions is thrilled to announce a new production of Harold Pinter's The Birthday Party which will run at the Harold Pinter Theatre, 60 years since the play's debut, from 9 January to 14 April 2018 with an Opening Night on Thursday 18 January 2018. Tickets go on sale today at midday, with priority booking from 9am.

Yale Repertory Theatre opens its 2017-18 season with An Enemy of the People by Henrik Ibsen, newly translated from the Norwegian by Paul Walsh, directed by James Bundy, October 6-October 28 at Yale University Theatre (222 York Street). Opening Night is Thursday, October 12.

Lawrence Edelson, Founder and Producing Artistic Director of American Lyric Theater (ALT), announced today that three composers, three librettists, and one dramaturg have been selected as Resident Artists to participate in the tenth anniversary season of the company's nationally acclaimed Composer Librettist Development Program (CLDP). The artists selected for this prestigious residency and training program are composers Shuying Li, Andy Tierstein, and Liliya Ugay; librettists Lorene Cary, Julian Crouch, and Lila Palmer; and dramaturg Antigoni Gaitana.

Charlotte Wakefield will play 'Polly' in the national tour of the Watermill Theatre's acclaimed production of 'CRAZY FOR YOU'. Charlotte joins the previously announced Tom Chambers as 'Bobby' and Caroline Flack as 'Irene'. 'CRAZY FOR YOU' opens at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth tonight 17 August 2017.

'The Wizard of Oz,' presented by Harlem Repertory Theater (HRT) and Yip Harburg Foundation, will not close August 20. It has been extended through December 16, 2017 due to continuing and steady audience interest.

Dr. Barbara Ann Teer's National Black Theatre's 49th season cedes the floor to modern-day griots with gripping, one-person tales capturing the trauma and triumph of a people. In a nod to the African tradition of the storyteller and historian who inspires and uplifts, the season is anchored by two one-person shows, The Peculiar Patriot, by Liza Jessie Peterson, a coproduction with Hi-ARTS, and Sancho by Paterson Joseph, a coproduction with Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH) and Pemberley Productions. Themed "Black to the Future," the 49th season-which includes workshop productions by resident playwrights-seeks to take stock of the present and look to the past to predict and help shape a brighter future for Black people.

This summer, Theatreworks USA, the nation's leading not-for-profit professional theatre for young audiences, will present the Off-Broadway Premiere of the new musical PETE THE CAT. It will begin performances tonight, July 19, and run through August 18, with its benefit opening on July 25 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, between Bleecker and Hudson Streets).

Print Room at the Coronet has today announced its Autumn/Winter season, featuring: the London transfer from Theatre Royal Bath, of ground-breaking US playwright Alice Childress's courageous Trouble in Mind; Coronet International Festival, celebrating the work of artists from across the world; and Winter's Tales, a series of Christmas readings by friends and famous faces for children and their families. Nederlander, Estefan Enterprises, Inc and Bernie Yuman have announced that the Broadway musical On Your Feet! - based on the life story of seven-time GRAMMY winning international superstar Gloria Estefan and her husband, 19-time GRAMMY winning producer-musician-entrepreneur Emilio Estefan - is going global.
