DON'T STOP 'TIL YOU GET ENOUGH is the new musical that celebrates the artistry of Michael Jackson, featuring a book by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage (Sweat, Ruined) and directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Christopher Wheeldon (An American in Paris).
The show takes audiences behind the scenes as Michael prepares for the 1992 Dangerous Tour, providing an in-depth look at his process. As Michael and his collaborators rehearse their epic setlist, we are transported to pivotal creative moments from his career.
Featuring over 25 of Michael Jackson's biggest hits, DON'T STOP 'TIL YOU GET ENOUGH combines the singular talent of a cultural icon with the powerful storytelling of contemporary theatre.
Jonathan "Sugarfoot" Moffett and Alex Al were the foundation of the band for what would have been a historical epic world tour, and they have not done an event together since then.
Twitter is being flooded with messages from audience members tonight at SPIDER-MAN, with word that an actor fell during the middle of Act 2 when a cable snapped. The show was first put on hold, and then cancelled as ambulances arrived on the scene.
We've reached out to the production for official word, you can follow what's being said on Twitter here and here in the meantime.
UPDATE: BroadwayWorld spoke to an audience member who was there and told us that it right was near the end of the show when the bridge comes down and MJ falls and Spider-Man goes after her. Basically, she went down and he went jumping after her, and you saw the rope come done and then snap back up and then all of a sudden, the stage manager's voice came on and said that there was going to be a pause and they stayed dark for a minute or two and then they basically called the show.
