Manhattan Concert Productions has just announced lead casting for their 25th anniversary concert version of Gershwin's musical comedy Crazy for You. Tony award nominees Tony Yazbeck and Laura Osnes, will co-star as Bobby Child and Polly Baker for this one night only event at David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center on February 19, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. Five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman will direct the Tony Award-winning Crazy for You 25 years to the day from its opening night on Broadway. The performance features Stroman's choreography from the original production, a chorus of 240 singers from across the United States, a professional cast and creative team, and the enlarged forces of the New York City Chamber Orchestra. Following the success of The Secret Garden earlier this year, Crazy for You marks the fifth installment of Manhattan Concert Productions' critically acclaimed Broadway Series that has also included Parade, Titanic, and Ragtime.

Forward Flux Productions has wrapped their 2016 season presenting 37 events or performances reaching over 2,000 audience members. Forward Flux is committed to transparency, and the company believes actions speak louder than words. As such, they are releasing season data publicly on who they hired, both on and off the stage, with special attention paid to equitable opportunities for women and artists of color. The company is also pleased to announce their 2017 team of producers based in Seattle.

Full casting is announced today for Michael John LaChiusa's The Wild Party, which receives its first major London production at The Other Palace, playing from Monday 13 February to Saturday 1 April 2017, with a press night on Monday 20 February.

In a world premiere event, the producers of the world's biggest magic show, The Illusionists, have teamed up with the award-winning puppeteers from War Horse, to present a thrilling turn-of-the-century circus spectacular. CIRCUS 1903 -The Golden Age of Circus has all the thrill and daredevil entertainment one would expect from the circus, with an exciting new twist. CIRCUS 1903 -The Golden Age of Circus will play a one- week engagement at the Boch Center Wang Theatre, March 8-12, 2017.  

A CINDERELLA CHRISTMAS marks the 5th anniversary of Panto at The Playhouse, and will play from December 8, 2016 - January 8, 2017.

New York's Broadway and London's West End have long been the biggest destinations for live theater, and now, a new exhibition opening at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts honors the rich creative talent and award-winning productions in both cities. Co-curated by The Library for the Performing Arts and the V&A, where the exhibition debuted earlier this year, in partnership with the Society of London Theatre (SOLT), Curtain Up: Celebrating the Last 40 Years of Theatre in New York and London highlights how the theatre districts of both cities have flourished and developed since 1976. The exhibition, which opens at The Library for the Performing Arts in Lincoln Center onOctober 31, 2016  and is on display through June 30, 2017.

Dundalk Community Theatre kicks off its 2016/2017 season with a musical tribute Always….Patsy Cline from October 28th - November 6th.  The season is then followed by "I Hate Hamlet" and "Shrek:  The Musical". DCT has something for everyone this year and the festivities are just around the corner. Fresh from receiving six New York Innovative Theatre nominations for A Chorus Line the team of Richard Mazda  [A Chorus Line, Richard III] and Alberto Bonilla [To Protect The Poets, Richard III] follow their wildly successful award winning Richard III with a production of The Merchant or Venice.  This is one of two Shakespeare productions this coming season at The Secret with the team of Mazda/Bonilla with a production of King Lear featuring beloved character actor Austin Pendleton going up in March 2017.

42nd STREET, the quintessential backstage musical comedy classic, is to play the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane from Monday 20 March 2017, with a press night on Tuesday 4 April 2017 at 7:00pm. Tickets go on-sale today, Friday 5th August.
