Acclaimed Tony Award nominated actor Sir Patrick Stewart will return to Broadway in David Mamet's 'A Life in the Theatre'. Stewart will portray the lead character of 'Robert', a role he previously played in the 2005 production at London's Apollo Theatre. 'A Life in the Theatre' will be directed by Neil Pepe. Additional cast will be announced at a later date. Rehearsals will begin on August 23, 2010.

Children's Theatre Company (CTC) today announced the theatre will, for the first-time in its 45-year history, stage one of the theatre's most sought-after musicals, 'Annie.' Among the most requested titles by CTC patrons, 'Annie' will be directed by Peter Rothstein, who brought 'Disney's High School Musical' and 'A Year With Frog & Toad' to the Children's Theatre Company stage in the past.

The New York Times has just announced that David Mamet's A Life in the Theater, will be the famed writer/director's next show to hit the stage on the Rialto. Producer Jeffrey Richards, who is also the producer behind Mamet's Race, currently playing the Ethel Barrymore Theatre and the recent revival of Mamet's Speed the Plow, confirmed that A Life in the Theater would hit Broadway in the fall of 2010.
