Entre las actividades impulsadas por su política de inclusión, la Secretaría de Cultura, a través del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (INBAL), realizará una visita guiada con intérprete en Lengua de Señas Mexicana a lo largo de la exposición Renau y el muralismo en el exilio: diálogo con Siqueiros, que integra piezas de dos grandes de las artes plásticas española y mexicana: Josep Renau y David Alfaro Siqueiros, respectivamente.

Hoy se cumplen 37 años de la muerte de Parménides García Saldaña (Orizaba, Veracruz, 9 de febrero de 1944-Ciudad de México, 19 de septiembre de 1982), uno de los más reconocidos escritores pertenecientes al movimiento conocido como Literatura de la onda y el único que aceptó el término.

El próximo 15 de septiembre el público de la Ciudad de México y visitantes de otros lugares podrán disfrutar de una amplia oferta expositiva en los museos del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (INBAL).

Renowned guitarist, multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter, bandleader and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Steve Miller has released a new song from his rarities box set, WELCOME TO THE VAULT, out October 11 via Sailor/Capitol/UMe. The song, 'Say Wow!,' recorded by Miller in 1973, is making its release debut with WELCOME TO THE VAULT.

La exposición Renau y el muralismo en el exilio: diálogos con Siqueiros revisa la faceta muralista de Josep Renau (Valencia, 1907 – Berlín, 1982) durante su exilio en nuestro país y en sus años de trabajo en Berlín, así como su colaboración con David Alfaro Siqueiros (Chihuahua, 1896 – Morelos, 1974) en la realización del mural Retrato de la burguesía, destacada obra del muralismo mexicano. Se trata además de la primera ocasión en la que se exponen piezas de los dos artistas.

The 72nd Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 10th at 8/9c hosted by Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long awards season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. I thought throwing out my Annie CDs would be easy--I thought I only had one! Obviously that would be the indispensable Original Broadway Cast Recording with Dorothy Loudon and Andrea McArdle. How wrong I was! I knew that, as a kid, I had the tape of the 1982 movie soundtrack with Carol Burnett and Aileen Quinn (and an all-star supporting cast!), but I didn't remember buying it on CD. And when the hell did I get the CD of the 1999 TV version (with Kathy Bates and an all-star cast)? And, oh yeah... I forgot about this studio album from the 90s with studio cast queen Kim Criswell--I think I bought back in the day somehow convincing myself Ruthie Henshall was playing Annie. (Spoiler alert: She plays Grace.) Oh, and I do remember this '30thAnniversary' deluxe production with Chicago area diva (and original star of the sequel, Annie Warbucks) Alene Robertson as Miss Hannigan plus a lot of bonus material. To add insult to injury, I also have a Blu-Ray of the recent Hollywood remake with Cameron Diaz. I don't even have a Blu-Ray player! This thing is definitely going into the trash along with all the audio, but I will listen to a few tracks online for my edification.

El Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (INBAL) y el gobierno del estado de Aguascalientes, por medio del Instituto Cultural de Aguascalientes, dan a conocer que César Cañedo es el ganador del Premio Bellas Artes de Poesía Aguascalientes 2019 por su libro Sigo escondiéndome detrás de mis ojos, firmado con el seudónimo Fierabrás, el cual ganó “porque mediante un lenguaje dinámico logra transmitir la liricidad de lo doméstico y lo familiar”, según consta en el acta firmada por José Ángel Leyva, A. E. Quintero y Elisa Ramírez Castañeda, quienes fueron los jurados de este certamen.
