?The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, in collaboration with the Manhattan School of Music and Oratorio Society of New York, presents the world premiere of a transcription for organ, vocal soloists, and choruses, of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 8, on Thursday, April 7th, at 7:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue (at 112th Street), Manhattan. This event follows the two performances of the symphony in its original orchestration at the Cathedral on February 24th and 25th.
This fall, Lincoln Center Theater will join forces with Jujamcyn Theaters to bring William Finn and James Lapine's Tony Award-winning musical Falsettos back to Broadway, it was announced today. Falsettos will begin previews Thursday, September 29 and open on Thursday, October 27 at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48 Street). Lapine will return to helm the production.

At the 19th annual Pell Awards, Trinity Rep will award Debra Messing with the Pell Award for Distinguished Achievement in the Arts. John Chan, jazz promoter and owner of Chan's Fine Oriental Dining in Woonsocket will be honored with a Rhode Island Pell Award for Excellence in the Arts.
