While recent Broadway seasons have taken encouraging steps toward better female representation, both on and offstage, the question of gender equality within the theatre continues to be a hotly debated issue across the theatrical sphere.

The Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF) are pleased to announce programming for the second annual Tilt Kids Festival. With five world premieres and four U.S. debuts, the multidisciplinary festival presents adventurous and playful new work for families from artists spanning the globe. The Festival takes place March 4 through April 16 at venues throughout New York City. Tickets are on sale atwww.tiltkidsfestival.org.

Bristol Riverside Theatre continues its 30th Anniversary season with the hit rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar, running March 21-April 16. With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, Jesus Christ Superstar is directed by Keith Baker, music directed by Douglass Lutz, with choreography by Stephen Casey and features Julian Alvarez, Derrick Cobey, Patrick H. Dunn, Robert Farruggia, Adam Kemmerer, Ciji Prosser, Darren Ritchie, Danny Rutigliano, and Steve Steiner. The ensemble features Jason Taylor Armstrong, Daniel Bontempo, Elena Camp, John DiFerdinando, Maggie Griffin-Smith, Megan Helen Jones, Lauren Krigel, Caitlin Ort, William Pazdziora, Miriam Grace Payne, Christopher J. Perugini, Dominick Sannelli, Keith L. Watford, and Timothy Walton.
