The beloved ‘80s sci-fi comedy, Ghostbusters, will join the Royal Albert Hall’s Films in Concert series to celebrate the movie’s 40th anniversary.
Watch Ivan Reitman’s original 1984 classic on the big screen at Halloween -all whilst Elmer Bernstein’s famous score is performed live by a full orchestra conducted by Peter Bernstein.
Garnering widespread acclaim, Ghostbusters, written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, earned nearly $300 million at the global box office and became a mega-pop culture phenomenon that endures four decades later. The film stars Aykroyd, Ramis, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson as wisecracking parapsychologists who launch an ad-hoc ghost-catching start-up in New York City.
The film will feature full original dialogue, which will also be subtitled.

On November 2 and 3 at 7 PM, the Utah Symphony Films in Concert series will haunt Abravanel Hall with "Ghostbusters" in Concert, the 1980s cult classic about a team of Columbia University scientists who wage a high-tech battle against the supernatural, with the musical score performed live to picture by the Utah Symphony. This special event includes one of the state's largest costume contests, with winners scoring access to a plethora of passes and tickets to local Salt Lake City museums and events.
As part of the CSO's Concerts for Kids series, newly appointed Assistant Conductor Andres Lopera will conduct the Columbus Symphony in "Monster Boogie," a special Halloween-themed, hour-long concert for kids aged 2-10. The concert will include themes from popular Hollywood films such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, and Ghostbusters as well as spooky classical music favorites. Families are invited to dress up in their ghoulish best and compete for prizes in pre-concert Halloween costume contests, plus vote for their favorite CSO musician costume.
