Glasgow International Comedy Festival Q&A: Sophie Duker

Tell us a bit about your show.

It's about (not) being a goddess. Also my daddy issues, hatred of Yorkshire puddings and penchant for sexy racists.

Do you have any top tips for anything else visitors should do while in Glasgow?

Get your mouths around some Scottish fusion food. Last time I was in Glasgow I ate a plate of cheeseburger spring rolls. So provocative! So avant-garde! What's next, haggis gyoza?

Who would you recommend comes to see you at the festival?

Straight white men who are feeling a little lost and uncertain in 2019. The poor lambs. I feel like they need some cheering up.

And who would you suggest maybe doesn't?

Liam Neeson. Unless he leaves his cosh in the cloakroom.

What sets your show apart from others in the programme?

Can you IMAGINE how bloody woke you'll seem for taking a punt on little old me?

What's next for you after the Glasgow International Comedy Festival?

Many things, but mainly more Scottish fusion food in Edinburgh in August. I'll be stuffing my face at the Pleasance all month long.
