Luther Burbank Center For The Arts Adds Seven New Shows To 2018–19 Season

Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC) announced that seven new shows have been added to its diverse 2018-19 season. Bluegrass-country singer Alison Krauss, winner of 27 Grammy Awards, will perform Saturday, October 6, 2018; comedian Ron White will return to LBC on Friday, October 26, 2018; after their first successful year of touring, comedy duo #IMOMSOHARD will return to LBC on Wednesday, November 14; Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers is joined by Bucky Heard to perform the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame duo's most famous songs on Sunday, November 18, 2018; Big Bad Voodoo Daddy bring their holiday show to LBC on Monday, December 3, 2018; Dustbowl Revival and Hot Club of Cowtown will make their way to Santa Rosa as part of Across the Great Divide: A Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of The Band on Wednesday, March 27, 2019; and international best-selling author Neil Gaiman will come to LBC with his show An Evening with Neil Gaiman on Sunday, May 12, 2019.

Tickets for all shows, as well as single tickets for the previously announced 2018-19 Symphony Pops Series and Clover Sonoma Family Fun Series, will be available beginning Friday, August 10 at 12 p.m. online at lutherburbankcenter.org, by calling 707-546-3600 or at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts ticket office (50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa. Please note new box office hours at LBC: Patron services office is open Tuesdays through Sundays from noon to 6:00 pm, closed on Mondays. Alison Krauss effortlessly bridges the gap between roots music and genres such as pop, rock, country and classical. Most recently, she released the critically acclaimed record "Windy City," a collection of 10 classic country songs carefully selected with producer Buddy Cannon, which debuted at #1 on the Country and Bluegrass Billboard charts. She has released 14 albums, sold more than 12 million records to date, and is the most-awarded female artist in Grammy Awards history with 27 wins to her name. She has also contributed songs to numerous films, including "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" and "Cold Mountain." Additional honors she has earned throughout her career include nine Country Music Association Awards and 14 International Bluegrass Music Association Awards.

Comedian Ron "Tater Salad" White first rose to fame as the cigar-smoking, scotch-drinking funnyman from the Blue-Collar Comedy Tour phenomenon. Now, he is a certified platinum-selling artist, has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, and continues to be one of the top three grossing stand-up comedians on tour. White has always been a classic storyteller-his routines relay tales from his real life, ranging from growing up in a small town in Texas to joining the ranks of some of the most successful comedians in America. He returns to Santa Rosa with an all-new stand-up show.

#IMOMSOHARD: Mom's Night Out: Round 2

Moms, best friends, and funny ladies Kristin Hensley and Jen Smedley are the creators of the viral web-series #IMOMSOHARD, where they discuss the good, the bad and the funny about motherhood-with the help of a bottle of red wine! #IMOMSOHARD has grown to over 1.5 million follows across platforms and over 120 million video views. They have recently appeared on "The Today Show" and "The Doctors," and were included in People Magazine's "Best Of 2017." Part of their plan for complete world "mom-ination" includes their own half-hour, multi-cam comedy which the moms are developing with CBS.
After a busy first year of touring, which included stops in 72 cities, with their live stand-up show: Mom's Night Out- Summer Break Tour, they return to LBC with Mom's Night Out: Round 2. Their kids are older, the moms are older, but the show is new!

Righteous Brothers, Bill Medley and Bucky Heard

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame duo The Righteous Brothers, originally consisting of Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley, topped the charts in four decades with a string of #1 classics, including the most played song in radio history, "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin.'" After Hatfield's death in 2003, Medley continued to perform to sold-out crowds around the world, but fans and friends pleaded with him to keep The Righteous Brothers alive. Now, Medley joins forces with one of the most versatile vocalists in America, Bucky Heard, to bring Righteous Brothers back to the stage.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy

For nearly 25 years, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's unique take on American swing and jazz music has thrilled audiences around the world. Their unique and spirited Wild and Swingin' Holiday Party has become an eagerly anticipated annual family event. Drawing on a rich catalog of holiday classics and Christmas originals from the band's two full-length holiday albums, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy brings its world-renowned live show and fun and quirky take on the holidays to LBC. The show includes fun arrangements of classics in Big Bad Voodoo Daddy style, such as "Jingle Bells," "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," and "Winter Wonderland."

Across the Great Divide: A Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of The Band starring Dustbowl Revival & Hot Club of Cowtown

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of The Band, two of today's defining American roots groups join in an evening of their own songs and a special tribute to music from Big Pink and The Band. Eclectic octet The Dustbowl Revival blends folk-Americana and Stax-era soul into a genre-hopping, time-bending dance party. With strings, brass, dueling vocals, and more, the winners of "Best Live Band" by L.A. Weekly exemplify everything shows should be: "hot, spontaneous, engaging and, best of all, a pleasure to hear." Joining them is Austin-based trio Hot Club of Cowtown, which delivers hot jazz and Western swing light and tight, like tumbleweeds made of velvet. Inspired by European hot jazz and vintage American roots music, these Texas Western Swing Hall-of-Famers have shared stages with Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, and Roxy Music.

An Evening with Neil Gaiman
