SHN announced today the return of astrophysicist Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, coming to the Davies Symphony Hall on Monday, September 24 at 7:30pm. Dr. Tyson, the host of National Geographic's StarTalk, bestselling author and Director of the Hayden Planetarium, will be presenting an evening of engaging conversation on science, exploration and the world as we know it.

SHN is proud to be the official ticketing partner and event promoter in San Francisco. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 25 at 10am PT at shnsf.com or by calling SHN Audience Services at 888-746-1799.

"Fans love the Q&A sessions that rival the event itself," says Dr. Tyson. In the past, he has been asked a myriad of questions about everything from space elevators to parenting advice. Tyson says, "These are family-friendly events. I'll frequently take questions from children since I'm fascinated with young ones who are interested in science."

The New York City native is host of StarTalk Radio and TV show along with FOX's Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey; he is a New York Times bestselling author of 11 books and is also a frequent guest on The Daily Show. President Bush appointed Tyson in 2001 and 2004 to serve on commissions studying the future of the U.S. aerospace industry and the implementation of the U.S. space exploration policy, respectively. Tyson is also the recipient of 18 honorary doctorates and the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal, the highest award given by NASA to non- government citizens.
