JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR Comes to STAR Repertory Theatre

STAR Repertory Theatre, winner of the 2014-2017 San Diego A-List for Best Theatre Group, is San Diego's premier community theatre company. STAR Rep is proud to present their first paid actor adult production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, in their newly renovated theatre in the heart of Historic Downtown Escondido November 2-11, 2018.

With very talented actors and actresses in this cast, and an amazing live band, this will be one of the most amazing STAR Rep productions yet! With this cast, in our brand new theatre space on East Valley Parkway in the heart of Escondido, STAR Repertory Theatre has taken a big step forward for our audience and theatre family. 'Jesus Christ Superstar' fills the space with great music and passion."Seen through the eyes of Judas Iscariot, the show is set against the backdrop of Jesus and his last week. Loosely based on the Gospels, the musical highlights the interpersonal struggles between his disciples, followers, and the Roman Empire. Since its debut in 1970, numbers like "Simon Zealotes," "Gethsemane," and powerhouse song "Superstar" will continue to wow and touch new generations of performers and audience members alike!

This production will impress even the biggest skeptics that may not want to believe that a professional Broadway-esque production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR can be launched in the small 100 person theatre located in Escondido, California. STAR Rep has compiled an incredible production team, and an equally impressive cast with local professionals.
