Touring Tapper to Stage WHITE CHRISTMAS Tap Dances at The Firehouse Theatre This Winter Mandy Modic spent 2015-2016 traveling the country in her tap shoes as Gladys in Mark Bramble and Randy Skinner's 42ND STREET. The gig that followed was the same show, but a highly publicized reenvisioned production at Drury Lane Theatre in Illinois (where she played Lorraine), which has reportedly been eyeing a Broadway transfer. She's performed professionally with The Marriot Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, The Paramount Theatre, Theatre at the Center, The Wick Theatre, Mill Mountain Theatre, and Little Theatre on the Square and internationally at the Edinburgh Fringe, not to mention a co-starring role on NBC's short-lived The Playboy Club.

Modic received her BFA from Roosevelt University's celebrated Chicago College of Performing Arts and trained in a variety of musical theatre, voice, and dance classes across the country, including The Joffrey Ballet School. Ms. Modic is currently creating musical theatre education programs in Shanghai, China. As a director and choreographer, her work includes SINGING IN THE RAIN, LES MISERABLES and an upcoming production of THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE.

And this fall, Modic will return to Texas (she grew up in Coppell, dancing for the Dallas Cowboys halftime shows) to create the tap dance scenes in The Firehouse Theatre's production of WHITE CHRISTMAS, directed by Kyle Christopher West and music directed by John Norine Jr.

Auditions for WHITE CHRISTMAS are scheduled for October 5th-7th, with appointments being accepted in early September. The musical will take the stage at The Firehouse Theatre from November 29th through December 16th, 2018. Tickets and more information are available at www.TheFirehouseTheatre.com.
