Steve Martin & Martin Short Bring Comedy Duet to the Majestic Theatre

Steve Martin and Martin Short, featuring The Steep Canyon Rangers and Jeff Babko, perform at the Majestic Theatre(224 E. Houston St.) in "Now You See Them, Soon You Won't" on June 1, 2019 at 8PM. Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 19 at 10AM.

In "Now You See Them, Soon You Won't," comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short present new material in a variety of musical sketches and conversations about their iconic careers, most memorable encounters, and of course, their legendary lives in show business. Grammy Award-winning bluegrass band The Steep Canyon Rangers will join the duo on stage for the San Antonio tour date. The tour also features renowned pianist and Jimmy Kimmel Live band member Jeff Babko.

Steve Martin is one of the most well-known talents in entertainment. His work has earned him an Academy Award, five Grammy awards, an Emmy, the Mark Twain Award, and the Kennedy Center Honors.

After beginning his career as an Emmy-winning comedy television writer, Martin shone as a stand-up comedian and wildly popular film actor. His films are the kind that are viewed again and again: The Jerk, Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Parenthood, and Father of the Bride, among many others. He is also an accomplished Grammy-winning bluegrass banjoist and composer. An as author, Martin's work includes novels, comic pieces, and plays, once of which premiered on Broadway in 2017.

Martin Short, a celebrated comedian and actor, has won fans and accolades in television, film, and theatre since his breakout season on "SaturdayNight Live" over 30 years ago.

Short's popularity and exposure on "SNL" led to a quick crossover into feature films, such as Three Amigos, Tim Burton's Mars Attacks, and Father of the Bride as Franck the wedding planner. Short is also known as a Tony-winning stage actor and a two-time primetime Emmy award-winner. In 1994, he was awarded the Order of Canada and was inducted into the Canadian Walk of Fame in June 2000. This year, he received a Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award from the Governer-general of Canada.
