The Park City Institute is pleased to present the high-flying and innovative troupe, The New Chinese Acrobats, Friday October 26, 2018, at 7:30 PM, as a special event in the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Center.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to present The New Chinese Acrobats," said PCI Executive Director, Teri Orr. "This troupe was formed in association with Cirque Eloize, whose work we've presented twice before. The technical wizardry of The New Chinese Acrobats' movement is every bit as amazing as their Cirque colleagues, but add an element of Chinese folk art, mixed with modern innovative feats of aerial artistry."

The New Chinese Acrobats represent the next step in the evolution of acrobatic companies from the East. Mixing new techniques and acts with ancient traditions, The New Chinese Acrobats present the opportunity to view the best of China's ancient folk art, mixed with the style and virtuosity of today's generation. With performers selected from across China for their high-level acrobatic skills and innovative staging, the show includes award-winning acts from prestigious circus festivals such as Monte Carlo Circus Festival and World Circus Festival of Paris.

Guests can expect to see everything from hoop diving, to complex pyramid moves incorporating jump ropes, diablo toys, spinning plates, and more. Whether the artists are creating movement art while climbing on suspended fabric, or using an ancient Chinese art form set to contemporary music, the show will be feature acrobats displaying this troupe's brand of elegant athleticism.

Tickets for this special event, The New Chinese Acrobats, will be available to members only, on August 17, in person at the box office, and by phone only. Tickets will be available to the public, online, as well as at the box office, and by phone, on August 22.
