Harris Center Welcomes National Tour Of JERSEY BOYS

Legend has it that when Frankie Valli, as lead singer, decided to enter into a business partnership with the keyboardist and songwriter Bob Gaudio, the musician asked Frankie "should we have somebody draw up a contract?" Frankie responds by offering his hand. "You want a contract? Here - a Jersey contract." Their handshake became a pact, cementing a relationship that has endured for close to 50 years.

Behind the music and inside the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons - from the highs to the lows - is where you'll find the Tony Award-winning Jersey Boys. A true-life musical phenomenon, Jersey Boys tells the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty. From the streets of New Jersey to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the National Tour of this popular musical features Top Ten hits like "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Walk Like A Man," "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," "December, 1963" ("Oh What A Night"), and more.

Jersey Boys comes to the Harris Center for seven performances, beginning Tuesday, January 22 at 7:30 pm; Wednesday, January 23 at 7:30 pm; Thursday, January 24 at 7:30 pm; Friday, January 25 at 2 and 7:30 pm; Saturday, January 26 at 2 and 7:30 pm.

Parking is included in the price of the ticket. Harris Center is located on the west side of Folsom Lake College campus in Folsom, CA, facing East Bidwell Street.

Jersey Boys is recommended for ages 12+, due to mature scenes and language. The show contains smoke, gunshots, strobe lights, drug references, sexual situations and "authentic Jersey language."

Directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff, Jersey Boys won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical, the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album, the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, among others. Jersey Boys was written by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

For the seven Folsom performances, Jonny Wexler returns to Jersey Boys for his second year as Frankie Valli after three amazing seasons as Joe Pesci. He is joined by Eric Chambliss as Bob Gaudio; Jonathan Cable as Nick Massi, and Corey Greenan as Tommy DeVito.
