SISTER ACT Comes To Prague at the Hudební divadlo Karlín

Sister Act, starting Lucei Bílá, is playing at Hudební divadlo Karlín through the year.

While there is no date currently set for closing night, shows are currently set until 27 October, 2019.

With music by eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken(Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid), lyrics by Glenn Slater (Mulan), and a book by Cheri and Bill Steinkellner with additional book materials by Douglas Carter Beane, this feel-good musical comedy sensation will feature direction by Antonín Procházka.

Based on the 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg, the stage musical is set in the 1970s in Philadelphia. When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be found - a convent! Disguised as a nun she quickly finds fans amongst her fellow 'sisters' but makes the wrong impression on the convent's strict Mother Superior. When she turns her attention to the convent's off-key choir, helping the nuns to find their true voices and breathing new life into the rundown neighborhood, her cover could be blown for good. With the gang giving chase, is time running out for Deloris? Or have they underestimated the power of her new found Sisterhood?

The show played 561 performances on Broadway from 2011 to 2012 and was nominated for five Tony Awards® including Best Musical.
