PassinArt: A Theatre Company presents Hazardous Beauty a play written by Portland playwright Bonnie Ratner, directed by Josie Seid tells the story of two women-one black, one white both baby boomers-attending a memoir writing class at a Portland college. During the class they critique each other's writing.

The characters Chloe (played by Quigley Provest-Landrum) and Leah (played by Trish Egan) share stories and experiences about their sometimes painful, at times joyful and often humorous lives. The women who are from different backgrounds start to understand and learn from one another.

Hazardous Beauty opens January 25-February 3, 2019 as part of Fertile Ground, A City-Wide Festival of New Works at the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center IFCC), 5340 N. Interstate, Portland, Oregon. The remaining performances run through February 17, 2019. Showtimes Fridays and Saturdays, 7:30 pm and Sundays at 3:00 pm. Audience Talkback discussions after Sunday matinees on February 3 and February 10, 2019.
