Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin has the pleasure of inviting you to the 2nd International Antonina Campi Vocal Competition, which will take place between 3 and 8 March 2019 in its Opera Hall. We have received submissions from Poland and sixteen other countries: Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, France, Belarus, South Korea, Brazil, South Africa, USA, Israel, Iceland, Lithuania and China.

The first edition of this exceptional event in February 2017 attracted great interest among young singers from fifteen countries around the world. On the one hand, the competition is an opportunity to meet the world of professional opera performance, and on the other hand, it fosters an objective cultural and promotional value. Then, in May 2018, we had the pleasure of inviting you to Antonina Campi Opera Masterclass - a unique meeting of young vocalists and outstanding singing pedagogues. Additionally, in October 2018 we organised an interdisciplinary scientific conference "Antonina Campi and little-known topics of Polish culture at the turn of the 19th century".

The jury of the second edition will be composed of experienced professionals from the best music institutions in Europe: Ferenc Anger (Hungarian State Opera, Budapest), Ond?ej Hu?ín (Národni Divadlo and Státní Opera, Prague), Rosemary Joshua (Dutch National Opera Studio, Amsterdam), Marcin Kope? (TACT International Art Management, London) and maestro José Maria Florêncio (Baltic Opera, Gda?sk), who will lead the Beethoven Academy Orchestra during the final gala concert of the Competition (8 March). The jury will be chaired by the originator the artistic director of the event - Polish opera singer Ewa Vesin.

The two first stages of the Competition are open to the public.
