Full Cast Announced for Atlantis Theatrical's SIDE SHOW; Show Premieres 8/31

Manila, Philippines--Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group has announced the full cast for the Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical, SIDE SHOW, which opens on August 31 at Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati.

The musical features music by Henry Krieger ("Dreamgirls," "The Tap Dance Kid") and book and lyrics by Bill Russell ("Elegies for Angels, Punk and Raging Queens").

Taking center stage as the conjoined twins, Daisy and Violet Hilton, are Gab Pangilinan ("Chitty Chitty Bang Bang," "Rak of Aegis") and Kayla Rivera ("In The Heights," "Aladdin").

Playing the mysterious ringmaster Sir is Wency Cornejo, former lead vocalist of OPM rock band AfterImage. This is Cornejo's professional musical theater debut.

They will be joined by Markki Stroem ("Next to Normal") as the talent scout Terry Connor, David Ezra ("Aurelio Sedisyoso") as Buddy, and Arman Ferrer ("Binondo") as Jake.

Also joining the cast as the circus freaks are Christine Flores as the Bearded Lady, Ring Antonio as the Fortune Teller, Mica Fajardo as the Albino Lady, Alex Reyes as the Tattooed Girl, Jill Pena as Venus de Milo, Chesko Rodriguez as the Three-Legged Man, Luis Marcelo as the Geek, Juancho Escoto as the Lizard Man, Vien King as Half-Man Half-Woman, and Tim Pavino as Dog Boy/Houdini.

SIDE SHOW is loosely based on the remarkable true story of vaudeville stars the Hilton twins, Daisy and Violet (1908-1969), who were legends in their time and the highest paid performers on the vaudeville stage. SIDE SHOW is their heartwarming search for their first love and their self-acceptance for who they were.

The musical is directed by Steven Conde, featuring the choreography by Cecile Martinez, set design by Lawyn Cruz, lighting design by Jonjon Villareal, sound design by Jason Crystal, costume design by Odelon Simpao, hair and makeup by Johann dela Fuente, musical direction by Farley Asuncion, and vocal direction by ManMan Angsico.
