Brian Lowdermilk to Hold Masterclasses and Concert in Manila, 6/15-17 New York-- Brian Lowdermilk, half of the musical theater writing duo Kerrigan & Lowdermilk, will conduct songwriting and song interpretation masterclasses at Maybank Synergy Center, 7th Ave. cor. 28th St., Taguig City, Manila, from June 15 to 16.

Via Kerrigan & Lowdermilk (with Kait Kerrigan), Kerrigan (words) and Lowdermilk (music) made their Off-Broadway debut in 2006 with their stage adaptation of the children's book "Henry and Mudge." Some of their more popular works include "The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown" (restaged as "The Mad Ones" last year), "Tales from the Bad Years," and "Republic." Their songs have been recorded and performed internationally, including Sixteen Bars' very own "Broadway Open Mic" series.

Sixteen Bars, a performing arts education company, is bringing Lowdermilk to Manila as part of its initiative to invite more international talents (and open up unique education opportunities) to Manila's booming theater scene.

The masterclasses cost P5,000 (around $100) only per student.

As a special treat to Kerrigan & Lowdermilk's fans, Sixteen Bars is also producing a one-night-only concert featuring Lowdermilk at Century City Mall Events Center in Makati City, Manila, on June 17 at 7 p.m.

The concert will showcase songs from the Kerrigan & Lowdermilk songbook, as well as new songs from Lowdermilk's current online solo project, "From B."

The songwriter, who is also an Alan Menken/Richard Rodgers Award recipient, is set to share the stage with local musical theater artists such as Becca Coates, Franco Ramos, Bibo Reyes, Abi Sulit, Rianelle Alba, Gabby Concepcion, LJ Galvez, Jep Go, Arielle Magno, JP Mercado, Vinni Misa, Nami Muzo, and Camille Velicaria.

To buy tickets to the concert (P500 or $10), visit Sixteen Bars on Facebook or call 63915 377 3575 / 63917 315 0090.
