As witnesses to history, they covered all the great conflicts of their time, but the war they couldn't survive was the war between themselves.

The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards is airing live coast to coast tonight, on August 29 (8-11 p.m. EST) on NBC, originating from the Nokia Theatre L.A. in Los Angeles. The awards are being produced by Don Mischer and hosted by Jimmy Fallon. The cast of GLEE opening the show in a musical skit with the help of Emmy host Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey and Kate Gosselin.
