The Lexington Theatre Company completes their fifth summer season, combining 'Today's Broadway Stars and Tomorrow's Broadway Hopefuls' with Disney's Newsies, August 1-4 at The Lexington Opera House. The educational mission of 'The Lex' centers around training the next generation of musical theatre artists, as college students from around the country perform alongside and learn from seasoned pros.

Leading lady Patti Murin recently stopped by the Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, where she of course chatted all things Frozen and even joined the entire morning show crew for a special performance.  Watch below as they take on 'Summer Nights' from Grease!

Congratulations and best wishes go out to Broadway stars Emily Padgett and Josh Young who celebrated their wedding yesterday! Padgett shared the news on instagram following the couple's engagement in January of 2017.

The 'Big Apple' became the 'Big Orange' recently as the 2018 Musical Theatre class from top-rated Syracuse University came to town. We invited the 2018 grads to take the stage and bask in their transition from students of the theatre to PROFESSIONAL ACTORS! Enjoy performances from the wildly talented graduates alongside the gorgeous Catherine Charlebois and mega talented Olivia Gjurich.

You may not know this, but our friendly neighborhood Broadway buddy, Ben Cameron, grew up in the Mormon church, just miles away from Brigham Young University. This makes him no stranger to the legendary Music/Dance/Theatre program that has been responsible for a number of our favorite stars including, but not limited to Oyoyo Joy Bonner (Book of Mormon), Delaney Westfall (Sweeney Todd), Megan Masako Haley (Wicked), Michael Milkanin (Kinky Boots), and Brian Russell Carey (Red Roses Green Gold). So obviously we invited them to sing us a tune as we welcomed phenomenal 2018 graduating class of BYU to NYC! Check out these video clips from the unforgettable night!

Joining the grads we Syracuse alum Catherine Charlebois, Janalyn Saxer, Lauren Blackman and vocal sensation and Syracuse start up Range A Capella. Enjoy highlights here!

You can take the boy out of Utah, but can you ever take the Utah out of the boy? Who knows, but a couple weeks back at Broadway Sessions, we did learn that you can bring the Utah to the boy. Full disclosure: I, Ben Cameron, grew up in the great red state of Utah, just a mile or two from Brigham Young University. So, although you may not have known, I have known for years just how sensational the training is in the BYU Music/Dance/Theatre program. Training so goodie resulted in starry careers for alumni Paul Canaan (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde), Alicia Shumway (The King and I), Zach Hess (The Book of Mormon), Michael Milkanin (Kinky Boots), Becca Petersen (Bandstand) and more. Check them out in action alongside the extremely talented '17 graduating MDT class. 

Things got real big and real ORANGE on Thursday night at Broadway Sessions, as '16 Drama grads and alums for Syracuse University took the stage at Broadway Sessions. Syracuse Alums Chris Dwan (Elliot in Finding Neverland), Catherine Charlebois (long time Nessarose in Wicked) and Stephen Carrasco (Fiddler, Kinky Boots and a zillion other  shows) were on point (as the kids say). Syracuse grad heavy vocal sensation RANGE a cappella took a break from their Nickelodeon duties and racking up Hamilton YouTube views to serenade the new comers. The grads did not dissapoint as they made it clear why Syracuse is a top 5 ranked theater school.  Check out the fantastic performances here. #GOORANGE

Taye Diggs recently received the Arents Award from his alma mater, Syracuse University. The George Arents Award is Syracuse University's highest alumni honor, presented annually to alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their chosen fields. Below, watch interviews with many of Taye's colleagues and friends, including his wife and fellow Broadway star Idina Menzel, plus the man himself!

Broadway favorite Josh Young, who is currently starring as 'Che' in the national tour of EVITA, recently opened Game 5 of the National League Division Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Erica most recently toured internationally with 'Hair' the musical. Off-Broadway credits include 'National Pastime' and 'Odyssey'. Other favorites: Audrey in 'Little Shop of Horrors', Hermia in 'A Midsummer Nights Dream', and Columbia in 'Rocky Horror Picture Show'. A musical theatre grad from Syracuse University, when not performing she hosts karaoke and works at piano bars in NYC.

Ben is thrilled to be taking part in NYMF's Next Broadway Sensation!  Recent graduate of Syracuse University's Musical Theatre program.  Regional credits include Fiddler On The Roof (Barrington Stage), and The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe (Syracuse Stage).   Let's do this!
