On August 4th acclaimed composer and lyricist Scott Alan returedn for his biggest concert yet ay the IndigO2 Theatre Arena at the O2. The concert, produced by Amzi Entertainment, featured a 15 piece orchestra and song selections from Alan's four albums, 'Dreaming Wide Awake,' 'Keys,' 'What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up,' and 'LIVE.' BWW TV Los Angeles Correspondents Michael Sterling and Jerry Evans were back on the red carpet speaking to the stars last week for the official L.A. opening of SISTER ACT at Hollywood's historic Pantages Theatre. Tracie Thoms (Cold Case, Rent), Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked), and Alexa Green (Wicked) have been added to the all-star lineup of Broadway stars performing at the upcoming concert of music from Jawbreaker, a new musical based on the cult-classic film, on Sunday, December 12th, 2010 at 9pm at the Canal Room in New York City. They join the previously announced cast, which includes Shoshana Bean (Wicked), Morgan James (Addams Family), Carrie Manolakos (Mamma Mia), and Deborah S. Craig (Spelling Bee).

Pasek and Paul wrote 'Edges' when they were undergraduate students, majoring in musical theatre, at the University of Michigan. Originally written with four actors (playing various characters), the musical poses these perennial rants: 'Who Am I?' and 'Who Do I Want to Become?' Confronting emotions, escaping expectations, and deciphering complicated relationships--the songs cover universal issues such as love, commitment, identity, and meaning. One of its more popular songs is 'Be My Friend', also commonly known as the 'Facebook Song'.

In celebration of the 20th edition of BROADWAY BARES, Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS and Jerry Mitchell announced the upcoming release of BROADWAY BARES OPENINGS, a CD of 13 original opening numbers from BC/EFA's popular annual burlesque show.
