Seattle Children's Theatre presents the world-premiere musical, James and the Giant Peach. Just in time for the holidays, Timothy Allen McDonald's wonderful adaptation from Roald Dahl's best seller will include original music by Tony-Award nominated lyricists Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. James and the Giant Peach runs at SCT's Charlotte Martin Theatre through January 12, 2014. SCT Artistic Director Linda Hartzell directs. BroadwayWorld has a behind-the-scenes look at the show below!

On September 12, some of Broadway's brightest talents sang completely new arrangements of the hits of Amy Winehouse in the most recent concert of the BROADWAY SINGS concert series. More than 20 Broadway performers were accompanied by a full band playing brand new, original orchestrations of the English singer's greatest songs. The concert is the fifth of the series; previously honored were Adele, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Stevie Wonder. The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University announced today that the run of Robert Schenkkan's new play All The Way, directed by Bill Rauch, is sold out. A limited number of standing room tickets will be sold on the day of each show - in person only and only one ticket per person - at the A.R.T. Ticket Services Office. There will be no standing room for previews, Opening Night, or the final performance. The production begins performances on September 13 and runs through Saturday, October 12. On May 6, Broadway came together to support those affected by the Boston Marathon Tragedy at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. The cast of the landmark musical Rent performed today on Regis Philbin's final episode of 'Live! with Regis and Kelly.' Mr. Philbin's extraordinary run was celebrated in his final minutes on the show with a surprise performance of Rent's signature song, 'Seasons of Love,' with special lyrics penned for the occasion by the production teams of both shows. The new, off-Broadway production of RENT opened August 11 at New World Stages. The resurrection of the cult classic, written by Jonathan Larson, is being directed by Michael Greif, who directed the show's original off-Broadway and Broadway productions. The creative team includes choreographer Larry Keigwin, music supervisor Tim Weil, set designer Mark Wendland, costume designer Angela Wendt, lighting designer Kevin Adams, sound designer Brian Ronan, and projection designer by Peter Nigrini.
