Another bit of sad news came when Judge/Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe announced early in the show that Season 7 fan favorite Alex Wong, who had to step out of competition last year due to a tendon injury on his right foot, suffered another tendon injury (this time on his left foot) this past weekend and would not be able to return to the show as an All-Star next week.
