Happy Birthday Rachel York! York has appeared on Broadway as Fantine in Les Miserables; Norma in Victor/Victoria (Drama Desk Award) with Julie Andrews; Marguerite in The Scarlet Pimpernel; Miss Fancy in Sly Fox with Richard Dreyfuss; and Christine Colgate in Dirty Rotten Scoundrelswith Jonathan Pryce. She appeared off-Broadway opposite Julie Andrews in Stephen Sondheim's Putting It Together and in the Lincoln Center Theater production of Dessa Rose. Most recently, Rachel was seen in The Best Is Yet to Come: The Music of Cy Coleman and created the role of Cruella de Vil in The 101 Dalmatians Musical directed by Jerry Zaks.

The Marriott Theatre, 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire, presents the six-time Tony Award-winning classic, CITY OF ANGELS, winner of Best Musical, Best Original Score by David Zippel and Cy Coleman, and Best Book by Larry Gelbart, opening tomorrow, June 17th, and running through August 2. STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was held earlier today, May 27th in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets. Hosted by HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH's Darren Criss, Broadway's best turned out for the annual performance - including On the Twentieth Century's James Moye and Andy Karl, who performed 'Mine'- check it out below!

ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY star Kristin Chenoweth stopped by today's LIVE to talk about her new Broadway musical and shared her gratitude for being blessed with musical talent.

Today in 2005, the second Broadway revival of Sweet Charity opened at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, where it ran for 279 performances. Sweet Charity is a musical with music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields and book by Neil Simon. It was directed and choreographed for Broadway by Bob Fosse starring his wife and muse Gwen Verdon alongside John McMartin. The musical premiered on Broadway in 1966, where it was nominated for 12 Tony Awards, and also ran in the West End as well as having revivals and international productions. THe 2005 revival starred Christina Applegate in he title role.

Kristin Chenoweth and the cast of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURYstopped by this morning's TODAY to perform a medley of songs from the hit Broadway musical.

Sunday night, April 12, Donmar Warehouse's CITY OF ANGELS won the Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival. Rebecca Trehearn and Rosalie Craig performed What You Don't Know About Women on the live broadcast.

Sickness didn't stop the show however, and the company celebrated their opening on the originally planned March 12- last night! Starring Tony & Emmy Award winner Chenoweth, Golden Globe & SAG Award winner & Tony nominee Gallagher, Tony nominee Andy Karl, Mark Linn-Baker, Tony winner Michael McGrath and Tony winner Mary Louise Wilson, On the Twentieth Century will be choreographed by Tony winner Warren Carlyle and directed by six-time Tony nomineeScott Ellis, and features music by Cy Coleman and book & lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green. On the Twentieth Century is based on plays by Ben Hecht, Charles MacArthur & Bruce Millholland.
