THE FATHER, a new play by Moliere Award winner Florian Zeller, in a translation by two-time Tony Award winner Christopher Hampton (Sunset Boulevard, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, God of Carnage), is currently in previews for an opening on Thursday, April 14, 2016 on Broadway at Manhattan Theatre Club's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Rehearsals began just last month for Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard at the English National Opera. Since then, star Glenn Close stopped by Graham Norton to chat about the production and revealed her hopes that it will lead into something more. She said, 'I'm hoping very much that this will lead directly to making a movie... this like a revving up. It's a very elaborate rehearsal.' Check out the full interview below!

Norma's coming back to the big screen! As BroadwayWorld previously announced, Glenn Close will star as Norma Desmond in SUNSET BOULEVARD, presented by English National Opera (ENO) and the GradeLinnit Company, this coming spring. Now, writer Christopher Hampton revealed that a movie version of the musical is in the works, according to the Evening Standard.  He told ES: 'In fact we are looking down the line to make a movie of it later. When we first did Sunset Boulevard it was somehow still too close to the original. Now you have to ask yourself and find a director who would ask 'What is there about this story that was made so perfectly in 1950 that justified me doing it again?' '

National Theatre Live will present international broadcasts of the Donmar Warehouse's production of Christopher Hampton's Les Liaisons Dangereuses on January 28, 2016. Hampton's adaptation stars Elaine Cassidy, Tony & Olivier Award winner and Oscar nominee Janet McTeer ('The White Queen') and Golden Globe Award nominee Dominic West (HBO's 'The Affair'); directed by Josie Rourke ('NT Live: Coriolanus').

Stephen Ward, which has music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and book and lyrics by playwright Christopher Hamptonand lyricist Don Black, opens on 19 December 2013 at the Aldwych Theatre. The production, directed by Richard Eyre, is currently previewing with booking to 1 March 2014. Set and Costume designs are by Rob Howell, with lighting byPeter Mumford, sound by Paul Groothuis, projection design by Jon Driscoll and choreography by Stephen Mear. BWW TV Los Angeles correspondents Michael Sterling and Jerry Evans visit with the cast of Musical Theatre West's (MTW) much anticipated Southern California 20th Anniversary revival of Sunset Boulevard on stage now through July 28, 2013 at the 1,070-seat Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach, CA. The production previewed for one performance only on July 12, 2013 exactly 20 years to the day after the show's world premiere. Valerie Perri and David Burnham star, with Norman Large and Ashley Fox Linton are interviewed along with MTW Executive Director/Producer Paul Garman.
