New Los Angeles Repertory Company has announced a special evening December 16, 2022, to meet the award-winning playwright of EISENHOWER: THIS PIECE OF GROUND. 

The Marsh San Francisco will kick off the New Year with Poetic Justice, taking a deep dive into the true lives of three distinguished writers. Starring Julia McNeal and Charles Shaw Robinson, this double bill features You Must Change Your Life and Divine Madness – one-act plays written by Lynne Kaufman.

The Off-Broadway comedy Two Jews, Talking, by Ed. Weinberger, directed by Dan Wackerman, starring Josh Mostel and Richard Masur will play its final performance at Theatre at St. Clement’s on Sunday, November 27 at 3pm.

George Bailey, Clarence, and the Bedford Falls community will come to life at Portland Center Stage this holiday season, in a fresh, inventive reimagining of the beloved holiday story. The Artist Co-Op is set to present three 29-Hour Workshops of new work by the first cohort of resident playwrights Christin Eve Cato, SMJ, and Dave Osmundsen. The three playwrights have spent the last 6 months developing new work in TAC's first New Play residency, the Cold Read Residency.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre’s Artistic Director Johanna Pfaelzer and Director of the Ground Floor Madeleine Oldham announced the Residency Lab participants and the return to full capacity of the Residency Lab portion of The Ground Floor: Berkeley Rep’s Center for the Creation and Development of New Work.

CalArts Center for New Performance (CNP) kicks off its 20th anniversary season on Thursday, September 29, 2022, with the world premiere of Scene with Cranes, written by acclaimed playwright Octavio Solis, directed by Chi-wang Yang. It will run from Sept. 29 through Oct. 1, 2022 at the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater (REDCAT) in downtown Los Angeles. 

San Francisco Playhouse announced casting for Indecent by Paula Vogel, the first production in the Playhouse's 20th Anniversary Season. The play will run on the San Francisco Playhouse Mainstage from September 22 through November 5, 2022. Susi Damilano will direct, with music direction by Dmitri Gaskin and choreography by Nicole Helfer.

Award-winning Broadway playwright Theresa Rebeck will write the book for the Broadway-aimed Working Girl. While she's had more plays produced on Broadway than any female playwright of our time, Working Girl would mark Rebeck's Broadway debut as a book writer for a musical.
