Broadway Across America's "Finding Neverland" opens as a wonderful possibility, yet refuses to soar as we dare to hope it might.   "Neverland" is a pretty darn good show imbued with magical moments, yet somehow falls short of the special experience it might have been.

For the child in all of us, feet are (mostly) off the ground for this Peter Pan-inspired musical.

From the creators of Ice Age and Rio comes the most love-a-bull family comedy of the year! Ferdinand (John Cena) is a giant bull with a big heart. After being mistaken for a dangerous beast and torn from his home, he rallies a misfit team of friends for the ultimate adventure to return to his family. Based on the classic children's book, Ferdinand proves you can't judge a bull by its cover!

The musical Finding Neverland is about holding fast to the child inside of us that believes in magic - and magic really only works when it is paired with heart. The same heart that makes us unashamedly cry out 'I Believe' and claps till Tinker Bell is resuscitated before our very eyes. The fantasy of J.M. Barrie's Neverland awaits you at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in this NETworks Presentations, LLC production of the musical Finding Neverland featuring music and lyrics by Gary Barlow and Eliot Kenned, and a book by James Graham.

Ray Gelato has been fortunate to have worked with many greats in this business including Van Morrison& Fats Waller include playing Umbria Jazz in Italy 8 times! The Montreal Jazz Festival, Carnegie Hall, The Blue Note NY, The Lincoln Center NY and Sir Paul McCartney's wedding. He has also opened for Robbie Williams at The Royal Albert Hall and performed on two occasions for HM The Queen.

FINDING NEVERLAND was born across the river in Cambridge at the American Repertory Theater three years ago, but has settled in for a fortnight in the downtown Boston Theater district. Under the direction of Diane Paulus, with choreography by Mia Michaels, the original design team remains intact, and an all-new cast brings the familiar characters to life. Broadway veterans Billy Harrigan Tighe, Lynnfield native Christine Dwyer, and John Davidson headline the multi-talented ensemble.

Based on the Academy Award-winning Miramax motion picture by David Magee, and the play The Man Who Was Peter Pan by Allan Knee, FINDING NEVERLAND follows the relationship between playwright J.M. Barrie and the family that inspired Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up - one of the most beloved stories of all time.

Omaha Performing Arts is pleased to announce tickets for FINDING NEVERLAND go on sale to the public on Friday July 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM. FINDING NEVERLAND will play Omaha's Orpheum Theater, 409 South 16th Street, Wednesday, October 11 through Sunday, October 15, 2017.
