AMC and Lionsgate today announced the return of the iconic series 'Mad Men' for seasons five and six with series creator Matthew Weiner back on board as showrunner. Concurrently, it was announced that Weiner has signed a new long-term deal with Lionsgate, extending into a possible seventh season. The announcements were made by Charlie Collier, president of AMC, and Kevin Beggs, president of Lionsgate Television Group.

The 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, the only televised awards show honoring performers in film and television, announced nominees at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood on Thursday, December 16.

Today the Writers Guild of America (WGA) announced its nominees for outstanding achievement in television, radio, news, promotional writing, and graphic animation during the 2010 season. AMC's award-winning original series 'Mad Men,' 'Breaking Bad,' and 'The Walking Dead' were all honored:

According to TV Guide's website, Bryan Batt may be returning to AMC's 'Mad Men,' as artistic director Salvatore Romano on the Emmy-winning show. According to William Keck, Batt's spirits were up and he was back with the cast at the Emmy Awards.

According to Variety, AMC's hit series 'Mad Men' will return for its fourth season this summer on July 25. Season four of the Emmy-winning program will come back in its normal Sunday time-slot at 10:00PM.

AMC announced today that Sunday, July 25th will mark the highly-anticipated return of television's best drama, AMC's 'Mad Men.' Airing Sunday nights at 10 PM (ET/PT), the award-winning series returns to the network for its fourth season. On Sunday, August 1, AMC will debut its newest original series 'Rubicon,' starring James Badge Dale ('The Pacific'), with its first two episodes airing back-to-back, from 8PM-10PM (ET/PT), followed by 'Mad Men' at 10 PM. Following its debut, 'Rubicon' will move to its regular timeslot, airing Sundays at 9 PM (ET/PT).

Taking a page from the GLEE book, AMC's Mad Men are trying their hand at musical performance, beginning with a rendition of Bye Bye Birdie from the musical classic of the same name. The 67th Golden Globe Awards were broadcast live on NBC tonight from the Beverly Hilton. The stage at Harpo Studios in Chicago will undergo a radical transformation as it travels back for a 60's themed episode, featuring appearances by cast members of 'Mad Men', and performances by JERSEY BOYS. The show, titled 'Oprah Goes Back in Time - The 60's, will air Monday, September 21.

The 20th Anniversary revival of David Mamet's Speed-The-Plow opened last night, October 23rd at the ETHEL BARRYMORE THEATRE (located at 243 West 47th St.) after beginning previews on Friday, October 3, 2008.
