The production is directed by Awoye Timpo, making her CTC directorial debut. In this 'deeply moral and deeply American play' (The New York Times), Reggie has worked his way up to supervisor at a faltering auto factory. Now he has to decide whether he owes his loyalty to himself, to his bosses, or to long-time family friend Faye and the younger workers on the line, Dez and Shanita. In the spirit of August Wilson's Pittsburgh Cycle, this third play from Morisseau's Detroit Trilogy explores the hard choices facing Americans barely squeezing by. It was named by the New York Times as 'one of six plays that reckon with an anxious America.'

Chester Theatre Company (CTC) is proud to present Lauren Gunderson's I and You in the historic Chester Town Hall, 15 Middlefield Road in Chester, MA, from June 28 through July 9, 2017. The production is directed by WAM Theatre Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven.

Producing Artistic Director Daniel Elihu Kramer has announced Chester Theatre Company's 2017 Summer Season, which will feature an American Premiere, two New England Premieres, and the return of actor Joel Ripka in a one-man performance. And, in a first for CTC, the second half of the season will be staged in the round.

Beck Center for the Arts will present Making Pictures, an exhibition by Olwen O'Herlihy Dowling on display October 19 through November 19 in the Jean Bulicek Galleria at Beck Center. Guests are invited to attend an artist's reception on Friday, October 19 from 6 to 9 pm to meet Ms. Dowling and discuss her work. The reception and exhibit are free and open to the public. In honor of its fiftieth anniversary season in 2011-12, Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland's professional classic company, will honor "Fifty Stars" - individuals and organizations whose contributions to the theater have shone the brightest over the company's five-decade history.

Mark Alan Gordon, associate director of the Case Western Reserve University-Cleveland Play House Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Acting Program, announced that he will leave Cleveland in May, after the conclusion of the Spring 2011 semester, to pursue opportunities in Vermont.

The Rivalry, written by Norman Corwin and directed by Vincent Dowling, a Lifetime Associate Director of the Abbey Theatre Dublin and an Emmy award-winning producer, comes to the Emelin November 13 and 14 and kicks off the Emelin's 2009/2010 live theatre season.

The Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) has announced that it will extend Norman Corwin's THE RIVALRY, which brings to life the great Lincoln/Douglas debates of 1858 and the private drama behind the scenes - until July 19, 2009. Vincent Dowling directs.
