Jazz at Lincoln Center's Dizzy's Club will continue its season of in-person performances in January and February 2022, presenting a diverse lineup that pays tribute to jazz greats, showcases rising stars on the scene, and welcomes award-winning artists whose work runs the gamut of jazz styles and traditions.

The Wick Theatre in Boca Raton is pulling out all the stops to ensure that the first moments of 2022 are legendary! After a show-stopping performance for 4th of July, singing sensation Veronica Swift is back again to blow the roof off! She’ll be backed by a rockin’ 8-person band including the horn section of jazz rock supergroup Blood, Sweat & Tears.

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center celebrates the 10th annual TD James Moody Jazz Festival showcasing an all-star lineup of the country's best musicians, held Nov 5-21, including the award-winning Maria Schneider Orchestra, the New Jersey premiere of Christian McBride's The Movement Revisited, the Tony Award-winning Lillias White (currently on Broadway in Chicago), a special tribute concert to George Wein.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts celebrates National Veterans and Military Families Month this November with a series of free concerts outside on the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza designed with service members in mind. Each Sunday, gather family and friends then head to the Plaza for an afternoon of live music curated and emceed by Air Force veteran and radio personality, Bubba Jackson.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts will present jazz vocalist Veronica Swift for two shows on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 7:00 and 9:00 pm in Samueli Theater as part of its Jazz series this season. Swift makes her Center debut with these performances.

Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater has announced its upcoming jazz programming, running September 6 through September 19.

Brainchild of respected and trusted singers - arrangers - producers Janis Siegel (The Manhattan Transfer) and Lauren Kinhan (New York Voices), Vocal Gumbo is a virtual music festival created to bring the vocal music community together to inspire and entertain during uncertain times.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts' renowned Jazz Series returns for the 2021 – 2022 Season with an all-star line-up that includes Cecile McLorin Salvant joined by Sullivan Fortner, Chucho Valdes, Diane Reeves and Joe Lovano, Veronica Smith, the Kurt Elling Christmas concert, Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, the Dave Brubeck Centennial Celebration with the Clayton Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, The Brubeck Brothers & Dianne Reeves sharing the stage, and closing out the season is Matthew Whittaker. Jazz fans can also add Spanish Harlem Orchestra's Salsa Navidad holiday concert.

Her debut album, Lovesome Thing, is getting some well deserved attention, and this chat with her goes a little deeper into where it all comes from.

CLUB44 RECORDS will celebrate the new Nicolas King album Act One: Celebrating 25 Years of Recordings on Wednesday, April 28 at 8:00 PM Eastern with an all-star online release party event. Nicolas will perform several songs with Mike Renzi at the piano.

The online series launches today, March 12, on the Washington Performing Arts website.

Imagine  a night club gig starring  Mel Torme, with Anita O’Day or Ella Fitzgerald as his guest vocalist, and the Oscar Peterson Trio backing them up.  That’s the way it sounded in the Wick Theater’s Cabaret last night as the award winning singer Nicolas King had guest vocalist Veronica Swift and pianist Mike Renzi and trio on the stage with him.  It was a musically sophisticated audience at the dinner tables for this show.. Everyone in the elegant room had reserved well in advance.

The livelihoods of touring musicians, club owners, technicians, and venue staffers have been thwarted by the pandemic and Vocal Gumbo strives to keep the music happening, keep the bills paid, and keep the hope alive that one day we'll be venturing out to a clubs and experiencing the magic of live music together once again.

The Wick Theatre presents their newest schedule of shows featuring nationally-acclaimed artists. All Dinner Cabarets and Concerts are socially-distant and follow all COVID-19 protocols.

Nicolas King dug into the vaults and found some treasures, then he made some new ones and he is sharing them with the world on a new album that celebrates his brief time already spent in show business.

Notables from President Bill Clinton and Whoopi Goldberg to musicians Wynton Marsalis and Sting joined together on Sunday, Jan 24th to “Save Birdland”.  During the fundraising concert the Broadway community was treated to “All That Jazz” starring the original Velmas of Chicago, Chita Rivera and Bebe Neuwirth.

The fundraising campaign for Birdland Jazz Club will conclude on January 24th with a free streaming concert titled Save Birdland: A Celebration of Music, History and Community.
