Holmes Teams With Shankman, Lythgoe And Inaba To Launch 'DIZZY FEET' Dance Scholarship Fund

Variety is reporting that Katie Holmes has teamed up with Hairspray director Adam Shankman, reality TV mastermind Nigel Lythgoe and Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba to set up the Dizzy Feet Foundation. 'Dizzy Feet' is a dance scholarship fund that will give underprivileged youngsters the opportunity to take part in dance programs and win grants to enroll in accredited dance studios.

PEOPLE is reporting that Katie Holmes will put on her dancing shoes for So You Think You Can Dance this season. The show's producer Nigel Lythgoe confirmed the news to PEOPLE saying, 'It's about a charity, I do not have the status.' Lythgoe is rumored to be directing Holmes in choreography by Tyce Diorio.

Nashville-based choreographer and dancer Chris Tyler will return to Merrimack Hall June 13-14 for a weekend of Master Classes and an open audition for his talent agency, DDO Artists Agency. Chris was trained by and has worked extensively with acclaimed choreographer Shane Sparks, of the FOX smash hit 'So You Think You Can Dance,' and he was chosen to teach with Shane at 'The Pulse On Tour.'. Chris has swept Nashville with his intricate choreography and smooth style.

Former New York Times chief theater critic, Frank Rich, who was once known as 'the Butcher of Broadway' will appear on The Colbert Report on Monday Night. Frank Rich became a New York Times op-ed columnist in 1994 after serving for thirteen years as the newspaper's chief drama critic. These days, he covers politics and also serves as an adviser on the paper's overall cultural news report.
Two of his previous books are MUST-HAVES for theatre fans everywhere. Hot Seat: Theater Criticism for The New York Times, 1980-1993 contains a collection of all of his New York Times theatre reviews, which provide insight into thirteen years of Broadway including many of its big hits and misses. He is the also author of the childhood memoir Ghost Light, which is filled with many tales of the start of his love of theatre. Rich is married to Alex Witchel, who also writes for the Times.
