In 2009 Jeff Daniels was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actor in "God of Carnage," the Broadway hit that won Best Play that year. This month The Purple Rose Theatre Company (PRTC), which was founded by Daniels, brings "God of Carnage" to Chelsea.

"Morning After Grace," a world premiere by Carey Crim, is the first play of The Purple Rose Theatre Company's 2016-2017 season.

Theater professionals from across Michigan will gather Aug. 29 when The 2016 Wilde Awards are presented at The Berman Center for the Performing Arts in the Detroit suburb of West Bloomfield.
